Review for Anisur Rahman – Bangladesh High Commission - counter 4 Anisur Rahman provided excellent service at the Bangladesh High Commission. He helped us complete the Power of Attorney (POA) process smoothly and professionally. He was very patient, kind, and always willing to assist us, answering our questions clearly and guiding us at every step. His supportive attitude made the whole process much easier and stress-free. We are very grateful for his help and highly appreciate his dedication and service.

The Bangladesh High Commission staff are very polite and cooperative — I truly appreciate their courteous behaviour and support. To make the service even better, I kindly suggest reviewing the office hours (perhaps 9:00–5:00), improving the appointment system, and assigning a well-trained receptionist to guide visitors and manage crowds efficiently. These small changes would make a big difference for the community.

I recently visited the Bangladesh High Commission in London and left with significant disappointment regarding the quality and conduct of service. The experience was not only unwelcoming but also fell well short of professional standards expected from a diplomatic mission representing a nation abroad. Site and environment: - The premises feel cramped and are located in a basement, which is not ideal for families with children or elderly visitors. - There is a serious lack of clear signage and directions, leaving many visitors confused and following others rather than knowing where to go. Operational shortcomings: - Queue management and fairness: There is an evident lack of effective queue discipline. Patrons frequently bypass the established line, and staff did not enforce orderly processing or address the resulting inequities in a timely manner. A simple, well-structured queue system could substantially improve flow and fairness. - Information and guidance: There is no visible information desk or single point of guidance, so visitors are left guessing what to do next. This creates unnecessary confusion and reliance on informal cues. - Courtesy and staff demeanor: Several staff members at the visa/consular counter failed to greet visitors or engage in respectful, professional dialogue. The absence of basic courtesy contributed to an atmosphere of discourtesy and discomfort. - Counter 4 (Power of Attorney and Birth Certificates): Procedural integrity at this counter appeared compromised, with individuals sometimes moving ahead of those already waiting. This erodes trust in the fairness and transparency of the process. - Passport biometric section: Handling in this area was marked by dismissiveness and a perceived disregard for applicants’ time and concerns. Respectful, efficient service is essential for sensitive identity-related tasks. - Administrative support and communication: Follow-up communication, where provided, was slow or non-specific, leaving applicants uncertain about next steps, required documents, or expected timelines. - Overall environment and management: The waiting area, signage, and general organization gave an impression of insufficient oversight and accountability, which undermines confidence in the High Commission’s ability to deliver timely and dignified services. Impact: - The visit caused undue stress and frustration, particularly given the time-sensitive nature of many consular matters. - Repeated encounters with disorganization and perceived indifference have diminished trust in the institution’s commitment to public service and national representation abroad. Requests for improvement: 1. Immediate refresher training for all frontline staff on customer service, cultural sensitivity, and professional conduct. 2. Clear, consistently enforced queue management with visible signage and staff accountability mechanisms. 3. Installation of an information desk and improved directional signage to guide visitors effectively. 4. Strict oversight of Counter 4 procedures to ensure adherence to established processes and fairness. 5. Professional and courteous handling in the passport biometric section, with emphasis on timely, respectful communication. 6. Prompt written acknowledgment of this review and a detailed explanation of corrective actions, including timelines and measurement of improvements. 7. Establishment of formal feedback channels (e.g., post-service surveys) to monitor ongoing service quality and address concerns promptly.

Update your bloody opening hours sign with bangladeshi bank holidays, so many people have come from afar and wasted their time and money getting here. I’m down £40 thanks to you. It should be updated on google and be listed on the opening hours sign outside the building and when you call the automated system should say as well! Absolutely ridiculous. Also clean the outer building, compared to the other embassies it’s a dirty grubby mess. Puts bangladesh to shame. Theres no care or pride in the upkeep of the building.

Visited the Bangladesh High Commission in London today. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad—if you have all the required documents, the process is pretty straightforward but there are definitely areas that could use improvement. The space is quite small and lacks an information desk, so you’re often left following others to figure things out. Also, it would be great to see the staff adopt a more polite and professional attitude to make the experience smoother for everyone. Hoping to see some positive changes in the future!

I had an awesome service this morning (literally 5 minutes ago). I needed to get a NVR. Within 8 minutes of my appointment, I'm done & out of the door. The gentleman who checked us in greeted everyone with the loveliest smile & the gentleman who was at the NVR counter was the most helpful, polite & patient person. Thank you all for making my & our experience so memorable.

Excellent service by Sumon Bhai with my family’s visa application and submission. For emergency reasons submitted 2 days ago and received it today for our flights tomorrow! Much appreciated for the speedy delivery in such short notice.

Many improvements have been made here which is great to see however still a lot more can be done to provide an exceptional service. The staff work tirelessly to ensure a seamless service nevertheless in which seems a very busy office so ensure you arrive very early and allow time to process your requests. The passport collection section is number 27 which is a nice and modern office area.
