Extremely poor customer service and corrupt. Rude and disrespectful beyond belief . Charge £22 to sign a document only to get a 1500 CFA stamp and no receipt at all for amount paid, where does the difference go?

It is a nightmare getting in touch with anyone at this embassy on the phone to seek information. The website is not clear and often has incomplete information. Imagine taking time off work to get there only to be told you are not compliant and no thought to cost of transport to get here and the stress. The funny thing, they will be late on you but you cannot be late on them. They close very much on time but never spare a thought to citizens who get here and have to wait on them. SUGGESTION: Get HUMANS to answer the phones and provide real information which is reflective of changes Yaounde is constantly decreeing. It will save people time, money and energy. At this point, it is just wickedness when people cannot reach you over the phone. Always coming to this office in person is not possible. Why in this technology age are we making life so hard on citizens? I’d advise you prepare for loads of disappointment when dealing with this office. It is so sad to say but it is what it is unfortunately.

You do not represent Cameroon, shame on you. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the quality of service I have received from your embassy. My experience has been highly frustrating and below the standard I would expect from a diplomatic institution. Despite several attempts to reach out via email or phone regarding my visa application, I have yet to receive any response. These delays have caused significant inconvenience and have left me uncertain about the status of my request. Timely communication is essential, and the lack of response is both unprofessional and unacceptable.

On Monday, January 15, 2024, I had an appointment to process my passport application after completing all the necessary online procedures. My scheduled appointment was set for 12:30 PM, and I arrived at 11:30 AM, only to be informed that there was a technical issue preventing the application process from proceeding. To make matters worse, some people had traveled from outside London, and their situations were particularly complicated. We inquired about when the technical problem might be resolved, but unfortunately, no one could provide a definite answer. As a result, we were asked to jot down our names and telephone numbers on a piece of paper, with the promise that they would contact us once the issue was resolved. Surprisingly, ten days later, I had not received any communication. Frustrated by the lack of information, I decided to make an inquiry yesterday, but unfortunately, no one answered my call. Eventually, I managed to connect with someone at the high commission who informed me that the technical problem had not yet been resolved. This situation has caused significant inconvenience for fellow Cameroonians residing in the UK. Such technical issues, given the importance of the document, should ideally have been resolved within a day. Therefore, if you have recently scheduled an appointment for a new passport at the London high commission, I strongly recommend calling ahead before making any travel arrangements, especially if you are traveling from within the UK or from Scandinavian countries.

They do not deserve even one star . I’m Cameroonian myself but this embassy is useless with unprofessional staff. They never pick the phone up,they haven’t got that time because they are gossiping about was going on on social media. They talk to customers anyhow , they got no manners. Useless staff. This is so annoying , I can’t believe they bring the same behaviour from Cameroon to England. It’s a shame how you feel valued by British than your own people . Please change your behaviour . They are not all bad ,is one tall gentleman that works there who is the only staff i can give 4 stars to, he’s polite and knows how to calm customer down every time . He got some customer service skills.

The staff should get better wages so that some of them can stop chasing the second jobs in the morning. Opening times are not respected as I was at the consulate last month at 9am but doors were opened at 10:30am. No one even came up to give a reason for the 1:30 hr late opening. Customer service is up to standard but somethings still need to be improved.

I have never had any issues with the staff. I must say the service is really fast and convenient. I applied for a visa by post and and the process was 3 days from when I sent it to when I received it. I posted for next day delivered and returned. Posted on a Tuesday and received it back on a Thursday same week. Tell me which other embassy can do that? I once applied by post but did not put in all documents. My documents were sent back including the application fee. Try doing that with the UK embassy or US embassy and see how long it will take to get a reply or if you will see you money. Credit should be given when earned. Well done and carry on with the good job. I am happy for the good job you guys are doing. Improvements will always come at some point. Rome was not built in a day.
