   15 of us met in The Star yesterday for our annual family Christmas get-together. We found it to be a warm & welcoming place. The food was lovely & arrived piping hot at near enough the same time for each of us thanks to the outstanding service. We couldn’t have been better looked after, so thank you to all at The Star. Also, thank you for catering for the few choices that were mistakenly pre-ordered from the wrong menu - that was truly a very nice surprise.

   Made a mistake and booked for the wrong date (a week later), but the staff were still able to seat us and were very accommodating. Service was great and the food was very good. Really enjoyable visit — would happily come back.

   When my car broke down in the car park, the staff were so incredibly accommodating and kind to us in a very stressful time. On top of this, it is a lovely pub with excellent food and service, with a lovely vibe too. I would highly recommend this place and I am eternally grateful for the patience and kindness of the staff there when they were incredibly busy anyway.

   We've gone to the Star for the last 3 years for our team Christmas lunch. The food is excellent, great portion sizes and yummy. It's a very popular venue during the festive period. The service was superb. In an absolutely packed restaurant we got served in a good time. The staff were cool, calm, collected and friendly. Highly recommend.

   I am a regular at this pub as part of the classic car club, the TR Register, and eat there once a month, where the menu is large diverse and beautifully cooked. This Christmas 2025, we had our Xmas meal there in a separated room. I can only say it was one of the best and tasty Christmas meals I have ever eaten. The staff were under tremendous pressure not only from our crowd of around 50, but the rest of the pub was full of other diners. The staff were calm polite and gave excellent service under very difficult conditions. The food came quickly , promptly and was very hot. My meal of squid starter, Turkey dinner and Christmas pud was absolutely excellent. Well done to the chef and all your staff for such an excellent evening.
