I had a fantastic lunch, the flavours and portion size was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Really very impressed. I opted for the Steak and Kidney Pudding from the specials board, which came served with celeriac puree, creamy mash, roast purple carrots, tenderstem broccoli and bourguignon sauce - absolutely fantastic. The Hawkstone lager, also excellent. Highly recommend!

Visited The Dukes Head for me mum birthday...and from the moment we walked in the door, you knew it was going to be a decent experience. General Service, quality of food, management check ins... everything lead to an excellent meal and a nice afternoon out. Would recommend their IPA!

The Duke’s Head in Surrey is a charming and welcoming pub that blends traditional character with modern comfort. Set in a beautiful location, it’s perfect for a relaxed lunch, dinner, or a Sunday roast with family and friends. The interior is warm and stylish, with cozy seating and a friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The menu offers a great mix of classic British dishes and seasonal specials, all beautifully presented and full of flavour. The roast dinners are particularly impressive, with generous portions and perfectly cooked meats. The service is attentive and cheerful, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re popping in for a drink, a hearty meal, or just to unwind by the fire, The Duke’s Head delivers a memorable visit every time. It’s a true Surrey gem that combines quality food, great service, and a lovely pub setting.

We arrived to a stunning display of hanging baskets outside the pub, walked in to meet two lovely hosts who were really jolly and showed us to a table. The meal itself was delicious (and huge, we both had roasts that we had to take portions home) but I think what set it apart was the service. Everyone was so attentive and the aforementioned hosts were making conversation with the guests and showing genuine interest in everyone. It was a really really lovely pub. Highly recommend!

The Dukes head has got a gastro pub vibe, some lovely decor touches, warm & welcoming, clean and well maintained throughout. A couple of the staff seemed new, nethertheless they were attentive & helpful the whole time, the service was top notch! Not an expansive menu, but defo something for all tastes. The risotto was top notch, as was the pork, however the tempura monkfish was disappointing, the coating was heavy & thick, more like a Chinese chicken ball batter, than a light water and flour tempura batter. The accompanying sauce was spicy but bland, it needed some seasoning to give it a bit more depth of flavour. I would have liked a drinks menu, which would have avoided the waitresses keep checking on what they sold, drinks wise.

An excellent pub with great ambience, terrific food and fast service. The waiters were courteous, but not welcoming (except an elderly lady on the staff who may still remember a thing or two about old-fashioned values), but that still does not take away anything from a 5/5 rating. Not one to be missed.

First time visit, friendly greeting, drinks order taken shortly after arriving, drinks arrived quickly. Food arrived quickly after ordering, good size portions and very hot. I had the chicken curry, very tasty, not hot but nice kick. The good lady had scampi and chips, large portion, and the chips were still hot when she had finished, quite unusual. Shared a pudding good size portion. Only negative was very noisy as restaurant is near the bar area but understandable as was Friday night and the establishment was very busy. Has not put us off wanting to go back again.

Saturday Lunch at a nearby Countryside Pub Dukes Head, Tadworth. Fantastic family run pub. My husband ordered Pork medallion cooked in red wine pork jus and I ordered pan fried Sea Bream with spinach gnocchi . Starter was Chicken liver and port pate. Delicious food.

We came here for a drink and our focus was on the little starters! Despite the fact that we tried only the starters, the food is delicious and we will probably come back here for dinner! Nice and helpful staff
