Amazing experience at this pub for a baby shower. Cannot fault the food, venue and lovely male member of staff assisting us on the day! Genuinely cared about us enjoying ourselves. Will absolutely be returning!!

Easily the best Fish and Chips I have ever had: Cyder Battered Haddock with tripple cooked chips. Very friendly staff, which is a highlight, but the food stole the show! Such high standards for what I thought would be a simple meal. Definitely go for it! I was in Leatherhead for work and was surprised by how pleasant it was, and this meal was the highlight of my trip.
Lovely spot to enjoy some food and drinks at. It has lovely outside area as well but I enjoyed the cosy fireplace inside.;) The young lady that served me was super nice (sorry I didn’t ask your name). The Penny plant burger was yummy - the chutney adds a nice twist to it! It had really nice atmosphere and was quite lively on a Monday afternoon! Thank you for a lovely experience after a long day!
Great food, nothing to much trouble. Great pub atmosphere. Beer brilliant Lovely pub garden and your made to feel welcome even as a stranger. Pub landlord at its best Lovely staff as well.
We went tonight and had drinks and food, the staff were excellent and very kind. Choice of drink and food was great too, we will be back. Just need to save up. Thank you
We booked a meal for 40 of us after getting married in Leatherhead earlier that day. We could not have had a better time or service from the team at the Penny Black - the communication with the manager ahead of time was helpful and quick, we were able to drop cakes and decorations etc off in the morning and the pre-ordered drinks were ready for our arrival. The team on that day were friendly and available for whatever we needed. HUGE thank you to the kitchen team who managed to get out 40 pre-ordered meals at the same time and all hot. This is not just your average pub - 5* 10/10 recommendation. The manager on shift that day said they didn't really do bigger groups or weddings that often but if you are reading this and looking to book a party or bigger group event in Leatherhead - Penny Black is where you need to go.
Lovely pub, with amazing food and great selection of beers. We came here for fathers day lunch as we needed pick something up from a nearby farm, we don't live in the area and were nicely surprised by how delightful this place is.
Cannot fault this place. The food is excellent, the drinks delicious (more on this later) the staff friendly and welcoming and the venue is pleasant. Its my go to place for a lunch time "meeting" with colleagues. Situated down at the bottom of Leatherhead High Street its a lovely little building with a decent covered outside sitting area which is great in warm weather. Their burgers are fantastic but ensure you turn up hungry as the portion control will not leave you wanting. They also serve a decent selection of ales etc im particularly partial to "Proper Job Cornish IPA" And this is one of the few pubs I've visited that serve it. Ordering online via their app is easy. The app isn't the best but they're always quick to serve and friendly and it makes your and their lives easier I guess. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.
