Lovely pub, polite and friendly staff. Enjoyed a night out with the boys, watched football and played pool.
The Mill is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. I'm a regular here for a reason—the coffee is perfect every time, and the menu has so many great options. The team is fantastic, especially Cali, who is always so lovely and provides exceptional service with a smile. It's the perfect place to meet friends, study, or just grab a quiet moment to yourself. I can't recommend it enough!
Update 22/08/2025. I have upped the star rating from 4 to 5 overall, and 4 to 5 on the food. Now 5* all round! The fish and chips is fantastic and cooked perfectly, and love the lunch menu! --- Love coming to The Mill, not just for the £3 a drink happy hour every weekday (but that does help!) Lots of space to sit and chill, work or whatever like. Excellent views of the river! Hidden gem of Kingston. Service and staff are always fantastic, never have any problem at all with the service and welcoming vibe every time. Food menu is quite limited and don't get cutlery etc by default, it's what I'd say is perfect pub food and not fine dining. Which I'd point out that this place is not trying to be that, so take note - cheap for a reason! Its rare for first choice of food to be available, and most of the menu isn't. It would help to have a menu of the things actually available and not a generic brand one. Drinks are what this places does really well.... highly recommended! Could do with a bit of maintenance attention when comes to the toilets. Gets trashed and is a bit grim at times with water on floor. Great to see hand dryer fixed now. 4* review. It really can't be a 5* through no fault of anyone working today, needs some improvement on menus and food and the toilets.
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst meals I have ever been served in a pub. The nachos were a disaster – stale, soggy, with rubbery cheese and a guacamole that tasted like it came from the bottom of a week-old fridge. The burger was an absolute disgrace: burnt to a crisp on the outside, bone-dry on the inside, and completely inedible. The charred taste overpowered everything and left a bitter aftertaste. Presentation was sloppy, portions were poor, and the overall quality was appalling. Save yourself the disappointment – there are far better places nearby that actually know how to serve fresh, edible food. Avoid this place at all costs.
Nice place to visit, reasonably priced drinks. Why did you get rid of Stella? Does smell sometimes.
Nicole and izzie were amazing, so friendly and they gave an outstanding service. Drinks were perfect. Free sport on projectors and tv’s all around the place. There’s the option to play some snooker/pull if you’re up for it. Cheap drinks, student discount, a great mix of music (80s-present) and very friendly service. I would highly, highly recommend to anyone who wants a great night.
Very lively everytime we come. The staff are nice. With a special shout out to Lena and the team that was working 16/12/22 Give them ALL an Xmas bonus and fix the dang dishwasher please. It's far to busy in here for staff to be serving and washing dishes and etc. It's too much work! This has become my groups favourite place to hang and it's affordable and really nice
Noticed this establishment whilst on a river walk. Spent an enjoyable afternoon there. Decided to try their 2 meals for £9 offer. Both meals were beautifully presented and cooked perfectly to our taste. Was lovely sitting in conservatory area watching the boats and variety of waterfowl go by. All the bar staff were pleasant and accommodating. Will certainly visit again.
Well, not only are the cocktails delicious. The food is wonderful. Staff very helpfull and friendly. Mariana is just the best. River view, good music and just just a wonderful place to spend an afternoon/evening there. Becoming my fav spot to chill and spend time with friends and my love.
