This used to be a lovely pub to meet with friends for lunch but lately they had a turn around in staff and renovations in the kitchen. Both customer care and food quality has hugely dropped. Three of us had Christmas Dinner today. Beer battered mushrooms were very peppery, their soap was cold. Both Christmas dinner and turkey pie was lukewarm or cold. The vegetables were hot but gone cold within a couple of minutes so obviously came from the microwave. Both the apple pie and custard and profiteroles were absolutely gorgeous. Shame to have to leave food we had paid for. We are all going to try somewhere else now. Very disappointing

We are a group of young men (in our 60's) who meet up every Thursday for a few hours of chat. While from the menu we've only been tempted by dirty fries and nachos both have been tasty. As nice as a pub may look and as good as the menu etc may be that all counts for nothing if you haven't got the staff to back it up. Thankfully the staff here are brilliant. We are always greeted with a smile and a hello and they are always there when you need them. Even better that they chat and laugh with us. Great service indeed.

Had mixed grill & half a chicken. Service was quick, cutlery was brought out with crumpled up napkins. Food brought out and nothing was asked if we needed anything else. Was not asked if food was all ok and 1 plate was taken away before we both finished. Last plate taken away and was not asked if we wanted desert. Bit disappointed

Great pub, nice staff, friendly atmosphere. Always a good selection of guest beers which keeps me happy! Plus really good live music most nights. Especially enjoy the 'Shindig' open mic folk/acoustic evenings. A decent sized car park as well, which is really good.

Had a Sunday roast today for the first time at the Queen Adelaide and I must say it was one of the nicest roast we have had! Followed it with the rhubarb tart ) actually called something else!) and that too was beautiful! Massive compliments to the chefs! Will def be one of our families regular places to eat ( we have had other options on the menu and have all been great)

Very pleased with service and food was excellent. Big thanks to waitress for amazing service and cooks Terry and Holly for wonderful burgers. My wife craved proper burgers for a long time and on our one in a long time date night she got just that. Can't wait to get back hopefully soon. Thank you.

Great pub, very busy on Mother's Day, but Chef managed a nice plate, and a sweet.

1 star for a 1 hour wait. My steak & ale pie was nice in the end but the veg had that cooked-from-frozen taste. Lovely bartenders, especially the lady who gave us Β£2 back (dessert for free) when she realised how long we had been waiting. Iβll happily go back for a drink, but wonβt put myself through the wait for sub-standard food again.
