The Hope is a very special pub. It has a very impressive list of independent beers, IPAs on draft, kegs, real ales, stout, sour, guest ales- it's like a carnival for beer lovers. The pub itself is much bigger than what it looks like from the outside. There are plenty of tables, a garden and even free parking for customers. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere was great. There is also food available and the drinks and food are all fairly priced. It's an excellent pub, highly recommended

A spectacular pub. Multiple cask ales kept and served well, lovely staff, proper pub atmosphere, and the pot food was extremely tasty. Cannot recommend it enough. Well worth the two hour journey.

Visiting first time and simply love it. A great beer choice from keg to cask. Superb variety of ales means something for everyone which is great. Nice rang of snacks and the food was good & tasty. Prices are very reasonable and pocket friendly. Even can’t believe they are charging so low. Cannot recommend this place enough. I bet you pop in for a pint and enjoy more.

Simply my favourite pub in London - full of friendly customers, lovely staff, delicious home cooked meals, and a wide range of beers, ales and ciders. There are loads of naval memorabilia and a nice beer garden, too!

Phenomenal beer on tap, friendly staff and great beers to take away. If you like Craft beers well worth the journey.

Always a great place to chill out/meet with friends. Good quality and mixture of draft beverages as well as spirits/non-alcoholic and bottled/canned drinks. Can't knock the food either, both hot pot meals and deli snacks. Bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. The atmosphere may get a bit loud on a weekend evening, but generally a good conversation can be heard. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible

Super big pub. Clearly a centre for its local community. Very nice range of beers. Food was excellent too. Several large rooms, and conservatory & yard our back. Handy for station. Strongly recommended.

Not been here since before Covid. Lots more seating outside in different configurations. They're doing a proper basic pub menu for lunch - ham, egg and chips - perfect. Cider and beer still served at the correct temperature. Prices not bonkers either. Lovely afternoon.

Have been going to this pub on and off for years now and it never disappoints! The last time I was there I decided to have some food for a late lunch. I opted for the beef stew with multigrain bread and butter...it hit the spot perfectly and at £7 you can't go wrong! The meat was a plenty and very tender, the sauce itself was tasty and full of veggies too! I could of eaten another! ;) So, if you're not from the area and are looking for a high standard traditional pub then look no further than The Hope! Very attentive and friendly staff also! :)
