   I haven’t had a dentist appointment in over a year because this practice cancels my appointments constantly. I turned up to my most recent appointment to find it had yet again been cancelled. No one thought to tell me. Although I was assured a letter had been sent, one never came. When letters come to inform me of cancellations, I act immediately and ring straight away. Since the practice has taken on more private dentists, I feel that NHS patients are treated like second class citizens. I recently had a baby and have been waiting for my appointment as it is well known that women’s teeth/gums can develop problems in pregnancy. I have my maternity exemption certificate that entitles me to free treatment too, but I’m doubtful I’ll get to use it. I’ve been booked another appointment for the new year and I’m fully expecting the same thing to happen again. I hope I am proved wrong.

   Cannot recommend enough! As a new first time mum who had put herself at the bottom of the pile being busy with the baby and not being able to find a decent nhs dentist who also had a fear of the dentist due to bad experiences elsewhere I reached out to Dr Jen and she couldn’t have been more helpful. I knew from the first time I spoke to her that I had made the right decision and I cannot praise her enough. Jen is amazing at what she does & such a lovely welcoming person who makes you feel at ease straight away! I am so glad I found Jen as I genuinely feel like my fear is now gone and I actually look forward to attending appointments as she is just so lovely and good at her job. nothing was ever to much for her & I am very grateful to her for helping me! I would also like to mention the assistant who works alongside Jen, unfortunately I do not know her name but she was also lovely! The practice as a whole is spotlessly clean a lovely environment with kind and welcoming reception staff who are very helpful and approachable.

   I have always received excellent service at my dentist in Formby. I often book with Dr. Jen, who is absolutely fantastic. She takes the time to listen to any concerns, offers thoughtful solutions, and never makes you feel pressured. Her wonderful attitude and exceptional patient service make every visit a positive experience. I can’t recommend this practice enough!

   Dr Jen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Dentist! I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr Jen! Having suffered from dental anxiety in the past, from the moment I walked in Jen greeted me with warmth, reassurance, and pure professionalism putting my mind at total ease. Dr Jen always takes her time to explain the procedure in question, from check ups & scans, fillings, root canal, to tooth alignment and whitening treatment, ensuring I feel completely at ease and knowing exactly what was being done at every point during the appointment, which I always left with a smile! Equally the dental office is clean & modern, and the reception team are always welcoming, kind, & efficient when scheduling my next appointment(s) around my schedule. I’m so glad I have finally found a dentist I trust completely, and I highly recommend Dr Jen to anyone looking for exceptional dental care!

   Dr Jen has been absolutely amazing! Been going to Jen for the last few years which originally started with some cosmetic dentistry with Clear Correct, whitening and composite bonding and the results are incredible! Jen has such a lovely calming way about her that I haven’t experienced with other dentists in the past, so much so I’ve stuck with her for my general dentistry ever since!

   Three weeks after scheduling an appointment for a damaged filling, I arrived at the office and payed the 39 GBP they demand upon entry. When I saw the dentist, I was informed that they had not scheduled enough time to fix my tooth and that I had to wait even more time (possibly over a month) to schedule first an "evaluation" and then an actual appointment to do the repair! 39 GBP just to schedule another appointment for an uneeded evaluation! When I complained and asked for a refund, the manager was quick to inform me that I was not allowed to "dictate" treatment to the dentist even though I was paying for it! Buyer beware. Zero stars.

   I’ve been chasing a response from this dentist regarding treatment and each time one of the many girls on reception advised me that a message has been put on to the system and someone will call me back no body has, when calling the dentist it appears nobody has added any message on to the system. Also emailing client information to a completely foreign email address which breaches GDPR protocol, this definitely needs addressing. I think for the professional spec of this dentist it needs much clearer advise and also it needs to follow up clients when saying they would rather than leaving it up to the clients to call back every time. Very poor management.

   I have always had a fear of going to the dentist as I’ve had a lot of bad experiences in the past. But recently I visited this practice for the first time for an emergency appointment with Dr Olivia Bates and I cannot thank her enough!! She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure I understood while making me feel completely comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr Olivia to anyone!
