Nice little pub near where my brother has moved in, we did the pub quiz on a Wednesday and it was a lot of fun. Great service, and the Scottish girl who did the quiz was funny and charismatic. Beers were tasty, top vibes, and the food looked good.

POLA RUIZ ★★☆☆☆
It's an old hotel. There is a pub under the hotel, which makes it extremely noisy. Our room (YOUNG) is above the bar, and we couldn't sleep until the pub closed very late at night (even using earplugs, you could hear the music). The windows are old, and you can hear everything from outside. This hotel is on a very busy street where you can hear a lot of sirens, loud motorcycles, buses, etc. Right below the windows, you have the terrace of the pub where people are screaming, laughing, and drinking until late. Also, you can hear the people walking and talking in the hall, and if someone opens the hot water in the next room, you can hear it too plus the sound of the fridge :/ The second night, we had to call the front desk because we didn't have hot water, and they had to restart the boiler. I asked twice the front desk to change is to an inner room, and they couldn't help me. The curtains don't do a great job; they are thick (and very dusty), but from the top side, all the light from the street comes in, to the point that you don't need lights on to see. And the train station is very close, so you can hear that too. Almost at the end of our stay, when they cleaned the room, they threw away my face wash (I use solid products like solid shampoo, solid conditioner, and solid face soap). I left the face soap on the sink, and when I came back, it wasn't there anymore. So I do not recommend this place to stay. The only wonderful thing is the food. The breakfast! It's really good! We had the opportunity to have dinner too and the food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But unfortunately, it is not a good place to rest, even if you are not a light sleeper. It is hard, or at least in the rooms that are on the street side and on top of the pub.

I do like this pub. Great decor, very spacious with both inside and outside areas. Several bars. Well-kept pint (or several!) of London Pride at £5.95 - very reasonable for London. I've eaten in quite a few pubs in recent months and this is definitely one of the best meals. I usually just drink at the Half Moon but had supper with a pal recently. Lovely moist succulent calamari (and not yer bog standard squid rings) and a lovely fish and chips with large succulent fish that fell away in firm chunks. Nice chips and batter and a generous portion. My pal had the steak which he very much enjoyed. Unobtrusive, efficient staff. Thoroughly recommended for both drinking and eating. One of London's gems.

Family wedding party stayed over Friday and Saturday nights. All three different rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. I stayed in the Armstrong suite which was great for getting the groom ready for the wedding ceremony. Plenty of room to get ready and chill before the occasion. All staff very attentive and the management were very efficient from booking to our departure. Breakfast and coffees were world class. Highly recommend.

Recently stayed overnight at the Half Moon, for a show at nearby Brixton Electric. I was impressed with this pub/hotel. It offers a little bit of luxury for a reasonable amount of coin. The room was warm and extremely comfortable with an en-suite shower. There were even robes and slippers supplied (which I only expect for a higher room rate, which was excellent). The bar was busy on Sunday when I arrived but I still got served no problem. Breakfast prior to check out the following day was exquisite. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again when opportunity arises.

Stayed in a petite double room for two nights. This property was very luxurious for such a reasonable price. It’s in such a lovely part of London. There’s a lovely market on Sundays just outside. It’s only a short train journey into the city centre. Breakfast was included in the price and it was spectacular. Great amenities, the shower was amazing. The dressing gowns, slippers, and free waters were great touches. 10/10, I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The staff was outstanding! Very friendly upon arrival and during our entire stay. Any request we had was answered and they performed above expectations. The rooms were very nice, with great amenities and very uniquely decorated. The pub had great food and we spent a night with friends there for dinner and beers. Loved the location away from crowded Central London, and it was a short train ride to any of the main attractions. Would recommend to any seasoned traveller looking for an authentic experience. Some street noise during the day but very quiet at night.

This was an incredible hotel to stay at! Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and helpful, the room was quaint but had a unique vibe to it which was really cool, and hands down the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. To top it off, having the pub downstairs gives the entire place a really good atmosphere! Close walk to the tram station which is only a short ride away from Victoria station (aka the gateway into all of central London). If we're ever in London again this will 100% be the place we stay at!

We stayed for 2 nights recently. Due to ill health the stairs were very difficult for me. We spoke to the receptionist who was so helpful and she transferred us to a room on the lower level which was absolutely fabulous. All the staff couldn't have been more helpful and we think they went over and above to help us out. The breakfast was really good and we had a lovely lady to serve us. We would definately return to this hotel on our return to London.
