A really lovely gastropub on the corner, with big windows that fill the space with light and create a cozy, warm atmosphere. The place is quiet and clean, and the food feels comforting and homemade while still being refined and well presented. The service was excellent as well.

Peak pub: food was great, busy enough to have a vibe but could still get a table, and the team were great! Decent value for money too vs this area.

Itβs was a cold dank November day! We met friends for lunch. The food was excellent, home prepared and cooked and nicely served. The bar staff were friendly. We enjoyed our visit and can thoroughly recommend this pub.

The most gorgeous local pub. Elevated pub food, really amazing quality, seasonal & great value. The bavette steak has in a chokehold (in the best way). At lunch midweek they also do a Β£10 offering, veggie and meat options - always delicious. Lovely staff, itβs so warm and cosy in there. Great for a midday pint or a long evening. Love the drinks offering, vermouth and soda, white port & tonic and a wonderful wine selection. Also really reasonably priced. Not sure if you can book, my gut says no, but I would recommend it if itβs possible!

Our local. We love the no-reservation dining and the regularly rotating bistro type menu. Food is consistently pretty good - hearty Mediterranean-inspired dishes of a good size, although donβt expect ultra gastro and do expect London prices. Bar service not super friendly but food comes quick. Tables fill up quick after 6pm.

The Lady Mildmay mixes a lot of what I love about great pubs. A good selection of beer (including well kept cask), a curated selection of wines and a few cocktails to boot. The food is also a great balance of pub grub that definitely leans into the gasto without being too pompous, and goes well with a pint.

The food was quite tasty. Not a lot of choice for roasts (chicken/beef/veg) and only 1 main off normal menu available. No kids roasts, charged full Β£20 for kids. Expensive for adults, never mind kids, given average veggie selection (cabbage and a carrot mash). Wouldn't go there again.

We went here for Sunday lunch with our two boys, a baby, and another couple. I donβt think you can book but we were lucky to get a table as it seemed pretty full. Pretty much everything from the board menu was 86ed (theyβd run out) so the only options were the roasts. I went for the veggie roast which was surprisingly good. For a start, it wasnβt a nut roast (which I actually quite enjoy), but mushroom stuffed with spinach, leek and almond ricotta. Lots of red cabbage and other veg and great tasting gravy. Service was reasonably timely for a busy Sunday. The food was good and we had a great time, but it felt a little lacking in atmosphere and warmth.

Great vibe and food, particularly the vegetarian options. I've had consistently excellent food here at very reasonable prices. The beers good too, with a regularly changed line up of real ales. All in all, with good service too, this is a local gem.
