We met friends there an had an amazing visit. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable with an excellent selection of meal options.

>> UPDATE from GARDEN > Stopped outside London at a more traditional pub in the countryside after a not so warm experience near central London victoria. Pub has pictures of how town looked in victorian times, which is nice to remember good old days. The timber floors and beams make it authentic also. Lots of tables around the bar and separate a restaurant, outside beer garden, and few tables by the street if you want to watch the world go by. Warmed up by the radiator while sipping a pint and getting profiteroles dessert.

After a hike, we decided to stop by this pub for some food and to watch the Community Shield game. At first, we weren’t sure if they had the channel, but the lady who served us went out of her way to check, and they did! She was very friendly and recommended the best dishes to try. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. It’s a perfect spot to relax after a hike. Highly recommend!

Lovely friendly place with a great garden to eat in. The food is everything you should expect of pub dining, but is the best!. Burgers looked fabulous, but I had to have the liver and onions which were perfect! Extra mention for the garden which is bright and colourful with plenty of seating. Return mid September, garden still Fabulous! The food still exceptional, as was the service.

Awesome Roast dinner in a homely traditional pub. Food is excellent here and the portion size matches. Plenty of beers on tap and a small car park on site if you get a spot. Would recommend to those after a relaxing Sunday lunch. you may even be greeted by some friendly poochies when entering.

Nice place in a nice area, friendly staff, food was good, burger bun was a smidge over toasted but didn't ruin any of it

Great food, not over priced. Can get busy for Sunday roast so you'll have to book. Two sittings, noon & 2pm. There's a restaurant plus table you can reserve in the open bar area.

Great food, friendly staff. Busy place in the heart of the village. Veggie options available for Sunday lunch. Not a massive car park but street parking is available. Roast lamb and all the trimmings was delicious and the dessert was just as good.
