   Ok, been here once. I don't go to many Lazer tag places, and this one was supposed to be good. Supposed to be. Pros: The level and other features there are cool. Shooting the bases is good, because nobody is ever there. The packs functional! A rarity nowadays. No swearing rule. Good. But you're about to see why I was desperate to break it in the heat of the moment. Cons: Nobody is ever at the bases. There is no point to their existence, if you're playing to win. Just a small point buffer. The level is cool, but horribly balanced. The high ground can see everything on the lower part. Getting up to the high ground when it's occupied is impossible. You can be seen and shot on the stairs, but it's impossible to shoot back. The balancing was terrible. We were asked who was there before. The few people who had, were put on yellow. Everyone else was on red, even though there is a blue team. The yellows clearly had much more experience, and swept the floor with us. Dominated the high ground, sent a few to run around and pick us off downstairs every so often, and could see into practically every hiding spot. Don't go claiming 'skill issue', in the first few minutes, I had less than 15 seconds of uptime. Team balancing is the most important thing in any game, ever. Name a teambased shooter, and tell me it doesn't need balancing. TF2 needs balancing. OW2 is balanced all the time, because it's not great, but at least it's happening. Balancing the teams should be third priority (next to safety, and rule keeping.) If I was alive for more than 3 minutes worth, maybe it would've been better.

   I just went here and it sucked. this would have been a five stars review if they could make the teams better. One half of the yellow team was already inside the area when we came in and the other half has already placed before. No one on red team has played there before so it was heavily unmatched. As soon as we entered the actual arena, we got shot because yellow already had the high ground. There was no way we could have won. There was no blue team to help us out either. The yellow team ruined everything for our family who were just trying to have one last fun moment before I go back to Canada Overall, this is a good place if they could actually think about the teams for more than two seconds.

   I would just like to say what a fantastic team you have at Castleford. I have booked two birthday parties there this year and both times went absolutely perfectly. The party area was always tidy and big enough, the party bags are a great addition, the food was always spot on and the tables always well presented. The team were always happy and excited to see the kids and get them ready to game. Even the more shy members of our group were raring to go after meeting our party hosts. The games themselves ran really well and the arena is great. For one of the parties I sat in our party area whilst the group were gaming and I watched your team working. They are a credit to your company! Always making sure the area is clean and tidy, and the food area is spotless. There was always enough staff to keep the queue to a minimum and each gaming group seemed to flow through the gaming area seamlessly. You should be extremely proud of your team. We will definitely be booking here again for future parties. Thank you

   My son had his 14th birthday party here. The staff are absolutely fantastic! Polite, helpful and friendly. They work really hard, running around making sure everything is perfect, they looked after me as the parent as well as the kids. The whole party was exceptionally easy to organise and we simply had to turn up. 2 games and a pizza buffet later, we had 8 very happy boys. I can’t recommend Laserzone Castleford enough! Thank you

   Had our sons birthday party today, so impressed I'm posting this before going home! Nathan was an incredible host, we were apprehensive about how George would react but he did an incredible job making him feel comfortable. A massive thank you to Byrony on the reception who was incredibly helpful and took George for a sneak preview before the rest of our party arrived. We were over the moon with the experience on the day, nothing was too much for the team. Thank you

   My kids always love a trip to LazerZone. If I say to them I've booked even just a solitary game they go crazy! The place is very fun, the staff are superb and very conscious of your safety. Excellent briefing as usual by Nathan, complete with rules whilst keeping it upbeat and fun. Top place to visit whilst at Xscape. I do always think it's a bit pricey, but what isn't these days. Superb.

   Had my sons birthday party here and all the children (and adults who took part) had an amazing time, a couple of his friends told their parents they wanted a party just like it! Our party host(s) were so friendly and helpful. I had forgotten about one of the children's dietary requirements and they didn't hesitate to accommodate this at the last minute. We weren't made to feel rushed in the slightest unlike some venues we have visited for parties. I would highly recommend!
