Shocking experience staying here rooms are absolutely nothing like online photos at all don’t be fooled trip hazards with exposed cables upstairs along the landings extension leads just left out thick layer of dust on the all the coat hangers roller blinds falling apart windows are practically falling apart with a horrendous draft coming through them no radiator at all in the room was left a tiny plug in blow heater the floors are uneven and you feel like your walking on a slant and every single floorboard creaked as you walked, carpet had a million stains on it too skirting boards door frames doors all damaged needing a lack of paint No breakfast available so not sure I believe it to be true seeing a post three weeks ago saying they had breakfast here! The only ok part was the lady in the bar was very attentive and professional the bar area nice and restaurant area although not in use didn’t feel safe at all staying here wouldn’t recommend this hotel - what i find really shocking is some of the photos of the newly refurbished rooms in the reviews further down on here which look to be on the ground floor are very updated and we was shoved into a rotting no radiator, carpet stained, drafty, dump of a room with 4 people crammed into it and that was not taken into consideration and we booked 2.5months in advance of our stay the hotel is absolutely massive and I am positive they just take the bookings and dump you into a room that's not suitable - one of the rooms on here could have easily fit 4 into and we got this tiny room which realistically was probably a H&S risk given we had no room to hardly walk around in the room! AVOID AVOID AVOID - and seriously how can you NOT offer breakfast to weekend guests and hire just agency staff depending on your bookings, you have such a beautiful restaurant space unused....missing a revenue hit which clearly could go towards refurbs!!! This place is in such an idyllic location/spot i would love to say i'd return especially in a summer time, for nature trail walk too....., short overnight stay, but it's not set the tone for me! such a shame

Didn’t stay just used the bar. Knew it was undergoing a refurb as had read the other reviews. Was going to stay but had a last minute change of mind to stay elsewhere unrelated. Bar was clean and tidy, smelt of paint after their refurb. Staropramen was very good. I can imagine after the refurb a pint outside looking into the river will be amazing!

An ordinary classic pub I have always known.. They’ve recently done a refurbished to modernise it and now it looked so much better and much more attractive. They’re doing well. It’s located right by the river Thames with a garden and it’s lovely during the summer time.

I had an exceptional stay at The Royal Hotel London. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised by the elegant décor and spotless interiors. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept wonderfully each night. I also appreciated the little touches—complimentary toiletries, high-quality linens, and a stunning view of the city. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious options. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure guests felt welcomed and satisfied. The hotel’s location is perfect—close to major attractions, public transportation, and great dining options. Despite being in the heart of London, the atmosphere inside the hotel was peaceful and relaxing. Overall, The Royal Hotel London exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and memorable stay in London.

I've read so many bad reviews on here about this place. There is a lot of scaffolding but it looks like they're doing the place up. Once inside it makes no difference. The room was big and the mattress was brand new. It was warm in the night but on second night had the window open in the bedroom and bathroom and was a nice breeze through. I paid £40 a night. The staff were lovely, polite and kind. The place is old but nice! I loved it here. So close to the station as I didn't drive. Right on the Thames which was a lovely little walk. Overall epic stay.

Very noisy on Saturday evening, doors banging and voices come through walls and doors all night long. I just wanted to ask Asian male at reception questions before we arrived over the phone and he was dismissive and in a hurry. Bed was comfy enough but asked for twin bed for 2 people not double so that was annoying. Not enough loo roll, only one rationed out. Not enough shower gel. Clean but dated. View of lake is nice. Bed is comfy enough. T.V is good. Shower water pressure very poor. Parking is okay. Asian lady at reception is okay. Not very secure. Charged me extra £20 to check in earlier even though it was our anniversary and rushed us during checkout. I wouldn't stay again. premier Inn or Travel Lodge next time.

I like where it is located, but parking spaces are scarce esp on weekends. We didn't get any parking on a Saturday night and we had to go round and round the area to look for one but couldn't find any. We booked a double bed but got a bed with two single mattress together, which were made to look like a double mattress= not good at all for couples! Asked for some sugar at the reception but the Asian guy was a bit rude in giving us. At least the room was clean even if it's a bit outdated. Another good thing is you can see the river from the window, which is relaxing.

Perfect place. Wonderful service and room service. Polite receptionist. Checked in late at night, but everything went very quickly. Free parking. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk in the room. The window offers a beautiful view of the river. Everything is very neat. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

I understand this hotel is under refurbishment. However, the basics were not there. There was a thin cloth acting as a curtain, which provided no privacy. The bathroom did not have a curtain, and the curtain that the shower did have did not reach the side of the bath that pointed the window. So again, i felt very exposed at all times. The wifi did not work for the first 9 days of my stay, which i needed for work. As well as that, we were only told about the restaurant being closed on arrival, not before booking. Despite this, the beds were comfy and the rooms were cleaned regularly. Just rather disappointed with the fact there were basically no curtains and the wifi did not work. We were also denied another key card on request, which meant my colleague had to ask to be let in on the days they made it back before me. There was only one coat hanger? and the towel rail had been removed, leaving behind holes of where it had been. One of our lights also did not work. Other than that, the hotel is situated in a lovely area and is ideal for a nights stay but not much more.
