Terrible doctors surgery. Can never get an appointment. No reasonable way for working people to contact them to get booked in. I work at 8am so can't be sitting on the phone begging to see a doctor. Their online system is a total joke - you put your issue in and they say "you need to call at 8am" or refer you to 111 or A&E and say "this is for routine appointments only". What does that even nean? If I can't report a basic medical issue to the doctor and have them see me, what is the point of the online system? Also they missed a serious diagnosis for many years. I won't go into details but despite me reporting a certain issue multiple times over the years and either being ignored, or misdiagnosed, the hospital finally correctly diagnosed it and I am now receiving treatment. So I've been suffering for years with a condition that severely impacts my life, and they did nothing about it until I really forced their hand and begged for a referral. This is despite me telling them "I think I have this condition" each time I saw them. They seemed to just want to get me our of the door as quickly as possible and fob me off with a "We will do a blood test". Your system is not fit for purpose It does not accommodate for people who can't sit on a phone at 8am (i.e. those who work), and the online system often gets a gatekeeping, non-helpful response from the front desk. The only redeeming factor from my entire experience with this Surgery is Dr Gunning who is super nice and professional and took the time to listen to me. Top marks for him.

Had to see male dr for a personal examination as my request on line to see female Dr could not be met. I was initially distressed that this request wasn’t met. I had asked to see one of the more senior female drs . Dr was very kind and listened carefully to my symptoms. He made an embarrassing (in my opinion) examination easier than I expected it to be. Maybe it’s just my age but I’m sure I’m not alone in preferring same sex Dr for personal examinations .

I’ve honestly never witnessed such dreadful waste of time my life …. I don’t seek medical help very often cos I’m a pretty fit and healthy person … so when I needed help I found this system they have in place, impossible … When I rang to ask for an appointment, it had to be done online. News to me but hey ho it’s a modern world …. Three days of trying …. Still no joy ! When I go down in person …. Go online …. That was the response … Two months and I’m still waiting for a response from a doctor that was promised … FAO Management of that building,… shame on you ..I’m confident there are elderly or vulnerable people that need help and are totally wiped out by the monstrosity you call a system in that building .. Please feel free to contact me for further examples

Even upon recommendation from Hospital and 111 to contact doctors for assistance with pain relief for 14 year old who can’t take ibuprofen. I’m still battling for him to be seen 5 and a half hours after first call.. To basically be told to ring out of hours dr… when the practice is still open absolutely shocking to keep a child that long without pain relief..

a total waste of time and not fit for purpose. Used to be decent when Dr Bruce was running it years ago but now it's hopeless. Cannot get an appointment for love nor money

Absolutely a wate of time here. Called 111 and book 4:10pm, supposed that doctor would call me, but up to 4:45 still no body called, then I went toilet for 2 minutes, after that I saw 2 missed calls from this clinic at the same time. I called back at once, I was told I need to call 111 to rearrange, no doctor would call me again. Absolutely no heart of being a clinic. When they request patients to be polite, the people in this clinic should be polite to patients first. This clinic simply treats patients dirt.

I've been with this doctors since before I was born. My whole family have been with these doctors for many years too. We've seen the rise and fall of this practise. They used to be the best in the area, now it's lucky if you even get to see a doctor. The booking service is terrible. I've been told on so many occasions that I need to see a doctor but I can't get an appointment for nearly a month. They tell you to ring in at certain times but then act like you're a huge inconvenience. The doctors have told me in the past that I suffer with "women's issues" without givining me context. Have suggested harmful treatments that go against what I've asked for and generally haven't given me any good advice in the past few years I've tried to get an appointment with them. After 30 years of being there I decided to change doctors. I've been trying to get an appointment now for an issue I've had for weeks now and have been unsuccessful with gaining an appointment. Despite my best efforts to ring in at the times suggested. Terrible practise, terrible attitude of doctors and reception staff. It pains me to say I wouldn't recommend. UPDATE: So in the transition period between me changing doctors, I just came down with tonsillitis and have felt the most unwell I've felt since covid. I rang them up yesterday to get the desperately needed medication for my worsening symptoms and they said their next available appointment was IN A WEEKS TIME or I can call up at 8am every morning on the chance I might get an appointment. When I rang up my new doctors they actually said to me that it is shameful of them as they have a duty of care that they just aren't meeting. In the end I had to go to a walk in centre to get the medication I needed. I'm absolutely appalled. Avoid this surgery.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this surgery verges on being dangerous. Had an emergency appointment few months back as struggled to breathe, only to be rang back half hour before appointment to be told it had been cancelled and nothing they could do about it Rang last week to try get an appointment for something fairly urgent, to be told couldn’t book any appointments, had to ring up at 8am to see if I can get one on the day. Have tried a few times since and have either been cut off or been on hold for half hour onwards. Still haven’t been seen so having to look at other drs surgeries I can join in order to receive medical assistance

Two days in a row I have tried to book an appointment from 8.00am. I have tried to connect on two phones to get through finally got through on both days after 8.25 to be told no appointments available. On first day receptionist was very unhelpful and did not give name and when I could not get an appointment I asked a basic question about blood test results and told I am not medically trained so can't give them out . Second day receptionist Becky who gave name on answering the phone was very helpful and professional and answered question I wanted and was polite. Still could not get an appointment. There needs to be more staff on reception answering phones in the morning and they all need to be of same standard as Becky. It is not fair for patients to be waiting over half an hour every day constantly having to ring back to be told no appointments. When you do get an appointment Dr's are very good and the telephone service lets them down. I am not seriously ill but anyone who is would have trouble getting an appointment
