   The place itself is a bit tired, but reception was ok. The room was nothing special but functional, the porthole window was filthy and leaked. The nights sleep was good, bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a waste of money, food was cold and items were missing, the tomato sauce delivery system was abysmal and closer to a layby catering van than a hotel. Morning staff need a good talking to about customer service, not a good advert for the company. I wouldn't use again through choice, unless I had a meeting really close by, and then I'd go out for breakfast.

   Hi all, I am writing this review just because appears to me that TripAdvisor is trying to moderate my review, asking me to behave like a lobotomized human being without the right to express my thoughts. If this was not the case I wouldn't bother to review on google. As a strong believer of the capitalistic system, i feel in me the duty to describe my experience with the "hotel". Service, if for service is intended the rationing breakfast system they dare to offer their client , than it is a zero out of 5. Their vendor machine says: "This machine doesn't want to share his food with u" . Nobodies shares in UK , u got to pay. Machine is broken and no money are there to fix it. Appearance, as for that just watch the chair where the receptionist is sitting. Is broken and dirty. Room, yes I have to admit , massive improvement has been made to have both single and double beds clean the second week that my brilliant manager manage to book me there. Bathroom is a no no. Soap is ok. The place as per itself reminds me of the kennels people are use to build in some rural areas in French. Structure is old, smells and appears to me to be a sort of DIY left to someone without any experience outside the UK, or better outside Birmingham. Yeah, corridor sometimes is a disaster , multicultural places have some people that think that shouting is ok. Yeah u might do that in your room for some happy hours, it can happen once, is an "hotel" but on the corridor when people need to pass by ? That s all from me. Hope they will be able to grow professionally and make the place worth staying "ONE NIGHT IS ENOUGH" . Parking bays are to narrow for a place nobodies like to go , not to mention the access to it. The road in that section is broken ! Be careful when u get in . Thanks and good luck .

   Dirty rooms with pubic hair all over the bathroom. There is also a white powder that looks like plaster dust from a a ceiling patch up that has fallen all over my coffee and tea sachets. Vending machine containing water is broken and staff weren’t able to provide any bottles. I expressed that there’s pubic hair around my sink tap and the night staff said ‘it’s clean - we drink from it’ as if that was the level of service I should expect..I know it’s a Travelodge but that’s not great.

   fulfils needs as a traveller . used this place twice in recent years. check in was easy as well as staff friendly. people walk past window and talk but that's not a big issue . as usual Travelodge ecosystem was user friendly. using TL as a family room was pleasant

   We checked in right on the dot at 3 PM and the check-in experience was unreal — it took less than 3 minutes! The staff member who greeted us was incredibly welcoming, reassured us to let her know if we had any issues, and really made us feel at ease. We stayed in Room 133 and honestly, what an incredible room! Easily the best Travelodge room I’ve ever stayed in. It was massive, with huge windows that let in tons of natural light. The cleanliness was spot-on — everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The corridors were surprisingly modern and stylish too, giving the whole place a really nice vibe. On top of all that, the car park was huge and completely free — a rare bonus these days. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Would 100% stay again!

   Reserved rooms were not available. After being moved from room to room, one magically appeared for us. The room smelled strongly of smoke, but not cigarette smoke. The carpet was dirty. The fixed shower head provided only a 5cm stream of water, which made showering into a yoga session. Toilet paper was lowest rate. No glasses by the sink. Remote control for the tv was broken. Would not recommend. The parking lot was littered with a large amount of trash and partially broken glass. (Be careful with pets)

   Convenient for where I needed. Free car park and on site pub food (which was actually really 'nice babz') But, the Travelodge: old, tired, stained, noisy and a bus shelter might've been more appealing for the night. Sorry, but recommend that you dont use.

   I arrived late on a Friday night after travelling to Birmingham due to my husband being taken ill and admitted into Heartland Hospital. I phoned ahead and was told they had room and gave me the postcode to find the hotel. I found the room clean and comfortable. I stayed until Monday and was given so much help. Where to get supplies etc. All the staff were professional and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again (under different circumstances). Thank you Travelodge Yardley for making an horrendously awful time for me much more bearable.

   I can’t believe this hotel is actually even allowed to be open. The whole hotel is absolutely filthy. The area it’s in isn’t great. The only good thing about it is that there’s on-site parking and it’s near the NEC. But I will never stay in this hotel or any other travelodge ever again after staying here. It’s noisy, the rooms are filthy and don’t get cleaned properly. The staff were friendly. Do NOT book to stay here.

   Next time, and I advise this to anyone considering this hotel, spend a bit more for somewhere else that you know is going to meet standards. First of all, giving this a two star review about this hotel, is being extremely kind on my part. When I opened the door to my room, it was a complete tip. The bed wasn't made, there were empty pizza boxes beside the full bin under the desk, which had used mugs on it, and in the bathroom, used towels were in the shower. So I went down to reception to tell them, and their response was that because they were having maintenance (they had no hot water at this point in time either) done to the hotel, they didn't know what rooms had been made up. Which isn't a good enough excuse at all. Nevertheless, I waited for a few minutes in reception for them to arrange another room, which they did. The new room was thankfully made up, but was far from perfect. The carpet was worn and torn with what looked like stained drops of blood surrounding the bed. On the wall to the left of the bed, it was stained and marked with what looked like faded blood and some other dark liquid. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose and only one partial toilet roll with no new ones to hand. I definitely wouldn't, or won't, recommend this hotel to stay at as a result of my stay. Yes, for one night, it was cheap, and the cheapest accommodation in the area. But, and it's a big "but", it's cheap for a reason. The hotel, as a whole, is a bit of a mess. Weird smells in the corridors, untidy/dirty/outdated rooms and staff who come across as being not particularly bothered about your problems or complaints about your room.
