I want to start by saying a heartfelt thank you to Sarah from reservations, for our upgrade from an executive room to a suite-your kindness made our stay that extra bit more relaxed and comfortable, giving us space to unwind after a busy, hard day. Excellent facilities in the room-nespresso machine, bath and a separate shower, and also the most amazing smelling rituals toiletries. Complimentary robes that were the most fluffy and soft, and slippers provided in the wardrobes. This was my third visit to this hotel and the reasons I keep on returning are that the location is excellent, staff all friendly and views from the high up rooms-as you can see for miles (weather permitting) Breakfast has so much choice and all tastes delicious. Parking is a bargain at a reduced rate on Selfridges car park. Hope to see you all again soon!

Absolutely Beautiful hotel. Me and my partner stayed one night as we visited Birmingham for the christmas market. We stayed on the 7th floor and we were generously given an upgrade to one of their newly renovated rooms. Our room was stunning. Very modern decor and cleaned to exceptionally high standards. Im not sure what size the bed was but it was huge and very comfortable. Check in was smooth and we booked to dine in the restaurant whilst checking in.. The food in this restaurant was phenomenal and we are so glad we chose to dine there. The lovely waitress was super attentive and polite. She is an asset to the team. We tipped her but sadly i cant remember her name. We had drinks and pizza to our room after we had been out on the evening. Room service times and food options are great. Location was spot on for us. What a wonderful stay in this pristine hotel, ran by really pleasant staff.

4/5 Stars - Great Location and Comfort, Needs Individual Climate Control My stay at the Clayton Hotel Birmingham was excellent overall, justifying a strong 4-star rating. The location is truly unbeatable. It is perfectly situated near Moor Street Railway Station and provides incredibly easy access to the Bullring and Grand Central shopping centres. Being close to Aston University and having a large grocery store nearby adds significant convenience, whether for leisure or business. The comfort was high, particularly the bed, which was incredibly comfortable and ensured a great night's sleep. I was also very pleased that hot water was consistently available with excellent reliability. The main point for improvement was the room temperature control. The heating system appears to be centralised, and without a visible thermostat or dedicated heater, I could not control my room's temperature, which was often not warm enough. This lack of personal control made the stay less comfortable. Additionally, while hot water was plentiful, the shower pressure was noticeably weaker than expected for a hotel of this standard. Despite the minor issues with climate control and shower pressure, the exceptional location and high level of comfort make this a great choice. I would happily stay here again.

I am a member with Clayton hotel. As a regular guest I can say Clayton always reached my expectations. Very good staff at the reception desk. Especially the manager Mr. Andel went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and enjoyable—always kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. when I had an issue with the AC, he solved it right away and even upgraded my room to make sure I was comfortable. Excellent service and hospitality! Really recommend. I extended my stay because I was really happy with the hotel.

Great reception and breakfast staff! Nice room, comfy bed, good breakfast. Good location. Lobby is lovely. Everything is very clean. Unfortunately the cleaning staff were quite rude as they didn't know I had a late checkout. Toiletries would have been handy, and some more TV channels, plus if I could have turned the lights off from the bed. All minor suggestions.

This is a simple and clean hotel. I don’t think it is 4 stars though. The room was beautiful. Very clean and spacious. However there was no fridge which was inconvenient. The bathroom was nice and modern except for the fact that they didn’t provide any toiletries upon arrival (cotton buds, cotton pads, …). When I asked for toothpaste, they said they run out which is odd for a 4-star hotel. They had no shower caps and such things. In the bathroom there was only 2-in-1 shampoo-body wash which isn’t luxurious at all… They had very limited snacks and drinks, and room service was bad. I asked for ice and was told to go get it myself. Amenities need updating — the phone in my room wasn’t working so I couldn’t call reception or room service. There was a sound system in the bathroom which wasn’t working. I asked for help with my luggage but they just said they’ll put the trolley in front of my door — I had to put my 3 large luggages on the trolley MYSELF and roll them downstairs MYSELF which was something I had never seen/done before in a luxury hotel.

Perfect location, near the train station and the city center, but in a quiet and safe spot. Great building, very nice and helpful staff. Room 714 was good size. CONS: No small fridge, which it should have considering the price and type of hotel. Half open shower, it was impossible to avoid a small flood every time we used it. Mattress with a big stain.

This hotel is very recent and is furnished to a very high standard internally. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are fitted out to a very high standard. The lifts are large and fast and the communal areas are clean and spacious. The breakfast was very nice - above average for the price of the hotel - and served in a pleasant environment. The hotel is also close to many of the amenities in town as well as being close to Moor St Station and thus the large Bullring mall. The air conditioning was a little challenged during the hot summer we had this year, and it would be good to see that improved. Also the reception check-in was very slow and again in the heat, us tired and weary travellers did not enjoy our long stand in the hotel lobby. This appeared to be simply lack of staff. The staff who were there were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here twice during the summer and would happily stay again.
