A spa day with my Mom. Staff were all lovely and really helpful. We had a full body treatment each which were also really nice. The afternoon tea was great value with hot drink refills and plenty of cake options. Nice to have an alternative option to strawberry jam for the scones (can recommend the lemon curd!)

This was my first visit but won’t be my last! The food was so fresh and delicious - way too much for me to eat but you can take it home!! The staff as always were lovely as I have stayed at the hotel and look forward to having dinner here again Sahithye was our server and made the meal even more fun with fantastic attention and always a smile. Highly recommend!

The outside of the hotel looks run down, but they are doing it up. But once you get inside, wow! The service was magnificent. We had a massage, which was just perfect. Then afternoon tea, which was yummy. We were treated to our own room and service was lovely and we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted. Have already booked to go again.

My wife and I stayed here for our ten year anniversary after getting married here back in May 2015. The staff greeted us wonderfully when we arrived, and decorated our room with rose petals and candles which was a lovely touch, and did make us feel special for returning here after all those years. It was a surprise to both of us so I wanted to thank you for thinking of us on our special occasion. We really enjoyed our interactions with the staff and they definitely make the place a welcoming and comfortable stay. The room we stayed in was large and spacious, although I'm not sure it was what I had booked, it was still a lovely room and was well decorated too. I originally requested the bridal suite but this was unfortunately unavailable for the nights we booked, so I requested a suite instead, but when we arrived, the room appeared to be standard double, so I think something got lost in translation between me booking the room and when we were allocated the room. Although this was a bit disappointing, I was still happy with the room we were given. The hotel building was undergoing some renovation work at the time we stayed, which we weren't told about before arriving, but they didn't disturb our stay generally. The building itself is quite tired in a lot of places, and could use some sympathetic restoration in a lot of areas. I wouldn't describe it as "run down", but it certainly needs some work, such as the general decor being quite shabby in a few areas such as the dining room by the bar, and odd bits of furniture lying around which were there when we got married there! We decided to have a meal in the hotel restaurant on the date of our ten year anniversary, which I think in hindsight was a mistake. Neither of us were impressed with the food we were served, and were generally disappointed with the standard of the evening meal. I informed the waitress that my lamb shank was tough, but she returned to tell me that she had "given the chef my feedback" and nothing more was said. Oh dear... I would expect something complimentary on a meal as important as this, but maybe I was expecting too much. We ate breakfast for the two mornings we had at the hotel, and these were really lovely cooked breakfasts, which we both really enjoyed. The coffee they served at breakfast was really nice as well. Somebody else here mentioned missing toiletries in the room, which was unfortunately the case for us too. Only the hand soap was missing, so we just went and bought some. We spoke with the events manager of the hotel on the day we checked out and spoke at length about our stay with her, and she mentioned the plans they had for the restaurant and changes they planned to make to the menu. I hope they do make these changes sooner rather than later as the restaurant experience we had really detracted from our stay. I've decided to leave St Andrews's Town Hotel four stars, as I feel this is fair based on everything I've mentioned in my review. We hope to come back again, maybe in another ten years but hopefully sooner if they can address the downsides of my review earlier. Thanks for the memories - it was lovely to go back and see the place we got married looking so remarkably similar to our special day.

Was there for a few days as I had a funeral to go to, arrived on Sunday 26th Feb, had my room updated as it was quiet. Staff very friendly & helpful, I think the only downside was there was no food/snacks for guests arriving on the Sunday , I'm sure this could be easily rectified though. As it's a listed building there isn't a lift, so if you are with elderly people who can't climb stairs, then make sure you book a room on the ground floor. So apart from the food thing, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Just had a family Sunday lunch here and the food is fantastic and the service was very good and meets all of our needs. We used to eat/family gatherings here for many years but it’s when downhill. I can now say it’s back and on top form!!!!! We will be coming back to this place, our 1st choice for all family dinners and gatherings. Thankyou!!! You were all amazing!! It’s so lovely to have you so close and fantastic on food and service.

Went to a function with friends. Had a great time. The show acts were brilliant (Diana Ross tribute and Men of Soul). Staff were friendly and helpful and very professional. Highlighted especially when one of audience had a medical emergency.
