I recently had the pleasure of finding my new flat with the help of a wonderful agent. The home itself is beautiful—well-kept, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. It feels welcoming and has everything needed for a happy lifestyle.
For 6 very enjoyable years I rented with Very Nice homes in a lovely property they managed. Any repairs issues were always swiftly addressed / repaired. All Communication was friendly and open with any suggestions / information shared and acted upon, so I always felt heard. The price I paid for my rent and bills was fair and any increases ( which were few) were balanced and in line with market rates . Aside from some very slight negotiation in my last 6 months of renting. Had I not moved to purchase a property I would have happily continued to rent . I can with out question recommend this well run business and all its staff to anyone considering renting with them or even having them manage a property.
This property offers everything needed for comfortable accommodation. It is clean, well maintained, and places strong emphasis on the security of its tenants. The supportive and friendly staff create a homely and safe environment, which makes living here very pleasant. Since the rent includes all bills, tenants are free from the hassle of managing monthly utility payments. The equipment, furniture, and facilities are all new and well looked after. The property is also in a convenient location, within easy reach of everything you need. I have been highly impressed by the trustworthiness, maintenance standards, supportive staff, cleanliness, and security provided here.
I can’t recommend this agency enough! Clare is truly a Godsend — she made the entire process so easy and stress-free. Sherah was also wonderful and very helpful with all the documentation. I honestly give it up for Clare — I wish I could tell the world just how amazing and awesome she is!
I rented a room from this agency starting 5th March 2024 on a six-month contract. It was a soundproof, fully furnished room, and I paid £895 per month, the most expensive room in the property. I had no complaints and never caused any issues during my stay. In late August, my wife joined me, and I informed the agency. Instead of being accommodating, they increased the rent to £945 and put me on a new six-month contract. Even then, I continued to keep to myself, never used any shared facilities, and only experienced minor heating issues which I didn’t make a fuss about. In March 2025, I decided to give my notice to end the tenancy by either 30th March or at the latest 5th April. I expected a fair balance of rent to be calculated and my deposit to be returned. Instead, I was told by a staff member named Sherah that I must pay for the full month of April and only if they managed to re-rent the room would I get any money back. Despite my efforts to contact them, they ignored my calls. The contract they use is written in a very vague and one-sided way, stating rent is due from the first of the month regardless of notice. I even offered to settle the balance fairly, but they refused and left the room empty while keeping my full payment. I left the room in excellent condition. Still, this agency showed no fairness or professionalism. They are more interested in taking your money than providing a fair service. I lost £945 due to their unethical practices and dodgy contracts , Do yourself a favor—avoid this agency at all costs. If you don’t want to be conned or treated unfairly, look elsewhere.
Hi there, I currently rent a room which is fabulous. Throughout the whole process of starting my tenancy agreement everything went as planned and the team at Very Nice Homes were very supportive and helpful. I cannot thank Claire & Zahra enough! The facilities are clean and tidy. The room is ideal for what I require too! I highly recommend this agency. I have most recently had an issue with my bed which was instantly replaced after being seen to as it was damaged. Everything just works for me and I love my first home of my own. Had a very bad experience. DO NOT go ahead with this agency. They will take a deposit and tell you that they will refund it to you if you don't go ahead with the property. after getting the holding deposit, they change the rent and take down the advert so there is no proof for you. If you happen to contact them, keep all phone recordings and also pictures of the advertisement. They do not accept any mistakes from their end and will tell you to read terms and conditions which they hide somewhere and never talk about while taking your money. So, I've lost my money because of a mistake the so called ' very nice homes' has made. AVOID! DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THEM!
I've had a great experience with Sherah and Claire, quick and great communication, met me half way when I had some trouble on the day to move in. Couldn't recommend a better service
During the pandemic I rented a room with them for 6 months. They sent me a room inventory video and I signed the lease after viewing that video. When I finally got the keys the room looked nothing like the video, it was absolutely filthy. There were dozens of dead flies all over the bathroom, the toilet was filthy, and the entire room was dusty. The shower also had a massive gap down the side and was unusable. I sent them a video and pictures of the issue (see attached), they had the shower fixed after a few days but completely ignored any mention of the dead flies and dirty toilet. Once they get you to sign they completely change their tone and only do what is absolutely compulsory by them. Someone had clearly used the room before they gave me my keys and they had failed to clean it thereafter, this was during the pandemic lockdown! At the end of my tenancy I cleaned the entire room, including mopping the floors and dusting every surface, and they still had the nerve to charge me a cleaning fee. Threatening a negative impact on my, and my guarantor's credit history if I don't. They ignored both emails I sent when asking for clarification on why the cleaning fee was applicable. I have paid the cleaning fee to avoid this and will be raising a formal complaint through the Property Redress Scheme to get my money back. Edit: As you can see in the reply from the 'owner' the delusion flows from the top down in this 'business'. Despite the video and photo evidence he refuses to acknowledge any of the issues with the room, before contradicting himself and stating that the issues were not sorted because they were directed to the wrong team. I should've taken their low star rating as my first indicator to look elsewhere. Learn from my mistakes :)
