My self and my wife visited the cafe today and I can only say it was terrible the service was ok to start with we ordered one pensioners soup and an extra upgrade hot chocolate a latte and a ham and cheese wrap+crisps got the crisps and the drinks which were luke warm not hot but waited 45 minutes to receive the soup and the wrap ,the soup was just warm and lumpy my wrap was not what I ordered but some sort of sausage and cheese they were both very poor we actually left them half eaten most of the young girls there seemed more interested in the young security guard who was lying with his. feet up for All the time we were there and after we left and also before we arrived so he's doing a brilliant job . I have to say it must be the worst run cafe in Chester and I will definitely not be returning and will tell all my friends not to go there it's nothing but a disgrace

Member of staff by the name of Miles might actually be the greatest employee in retail history l. The consistency is unmatched and the professionalism is second to none. He should be manager of the whole store

Disgusted with one member of staff in Asda in Chester today. During the 2 minutes silence at 11am a member of staff showed no respect whatsoever. She continued to work constantly beeping throughout. When I spoke to another member of staff about it he replied what do you want me to do about it. These people served to make sure we had a safe future. I’m disgusted with Asda for allowing this. Shame on you.

A good Asda store with a lot of parking in close proximity to several other stores. A very good clearance section today, with a cafe upstairs too. This store also has a book donation trolley for kids, we have donated several books here to the cause.

Called into your store on 26th September to design a birthday cake for my daughter, I found the process a little difficult, technology isn't my strong point, I asked a man from the bakery if he could assist me, but he would not come out from behind the bakery, instead shouted across to me how to do it. I explained I would rather he helped, rather than shouting over to me. I said I was afraid I would mess it up but he says no you won't just follow the prompts. Pulling his face he eventually comes out at which point I'd had enough i said don't bother I'll come back. I did return today 27th September with my husband there was another lady trying to do her cake but was struggling, she told me to do mine first so my husband and I began, we got to a point where we got stuck, so I asked the person behind the bakery for help, unfortunately it was the same man from my previous visit, he did help but he was a complete misery, no conversation, no smile, nothing. He really made it know that he didn't want to help, if he hates his job so much why not do something else. I work in retail myself and would not dream of being so rude, I wish I had got his name because he needs some serious customer service training, it really doesn't take much to be nice. I hope you take these comments on board

Some staff very rude and the hot counter is rubbish and the tills are a joke they have like 6 tills but only ever 2 open clearly cutting back on outlay even though the supermarkets are raking it in. They never stock the latest sweets ect unlike other supermarkets. Changing to QF

Absolutely appalling treatment from staff! My 16 year old lifted a case of beer onto the till because I have broken my leg and on crutches so can't lift anything. A very arrogant girl came over and asked my daughter for ID, completely ignoring me. I said that she had only lifted it because I am unable to. The security guard that was with her said that the girl 'needs to make a judgement call' then both walked away to 'discuss' it. The girl came back minutes later and refused to serve me with an attitude! I asked for the manager to ask how I was supposed to do my shopping if I can't lift.......she told me to shop online! Wow! Hi Tasha, this happened 16/02/23 at approx 4.15pm. I spoke to the manager so I am sure she can provide you with the staff member name and the female security person. You can contact me if you need a description or their names. Thanks

Been coming here for years and never had a problem but recently it's gone down hill. Never anyone on the vape/tobacco kiosk, so you have to go over and get someone ( which they never apologize for). Then tonight I got there at 9.50pm ( because I have been told in the recent past that it shuts at 10) and it was all locked up, when I went over and asked why it was closed now and not 10pm? The reply I got was " because I've just shut it" I've been going there every week since it opened but that was last time il step foot in there. If I could give it zero stars I would

Need to change their policies! Did a shop including 2 bottles of wine. When at till asked for ID which I thought was odd because I’m 30 with a beard. Anyway got it out and showed. But because my partner (similar age) must have looked 10 didn’t have any they wouldn’t allow me to have them. Therefore left them around £100 shop to sort because I’m not buying from there with that nonsense! I provided ID I was buying what’s the issue!

Arguably one of the worst retail experiences I have had whilst in their Cafe. Frankly disgusting and abhorrent behaviour from staff members who are an extremely poor representation of ASDA as a brand, won’t ever subject myself nor family to such poor service, never returning.
