   I moved to Huddersfield a while back from down South and I struggled to find a Caribbean shop like May’s, we had a lot of Caribbean shops and butchers where I moved from. I found May’s on social media last night and went straight there this morning!!! They have a HUGE range of seasonings/spices, fresh veg, drinks, Caribbean bakery items… I was so pleased I went there!! I needed to find a halal butchers and to find a nice, clean, halal butchers like in May’s made it even better for me. They have a range of meat, all halal, with pre-seasoned meat available. I bought some pre-seasoned meat to make curry chicken with and it is AMAZING! Honestly could not recommend this shop enough to anybody!!

   My Wife and I are not meat eaters, but I did used to be a Chef, so I'm used to high quality produce. We wanted some meat that didn't require much preparation, as our meat eating Sons were coming round for dinner. We bought some pre seasoned curried lamb. The meat was fresh and of high quality. Staff were helpful and friendly. Worth the trip from Leeds, will definitely visit again.

   I have been visiting mays for a few months now since it opened and I can honestly say it's a fantastic little shop, it has everything from meat to vegetables, hair products to cleaning products. The staff are always polite and willing to help you with anything you need. Would definitely recommend May's and will definitely be visiting again.
