   Went to collect a click & collect order. (Sale completed the day before, using my named account with my PayPal). I’m neuro and heavily disabled with speech impairment, all new and quite frankly humiliating. I parked in disabled bay and my young carer daughter went in. I forgot to give my blue badge photo id because I was using it - my bad! She came out because she wasn’t served. Annoyed but figured, as just mentioned, my bad for id. We struggled in with just my daughter and a stick (as intimated, I hadn’t planned on getting out of car… we’d NEVER had issues at Leigh, Butts Bridge!) she propped me up at the door and proceeded to the counter again. Apparently, still a no… “SALE by proxy” … problem is the items were already SOLD… the items were BOUGHT & PAID FOR by me who was now present, in person having paid the day before. Account name, PayPal name, photo id name all match…photo matches me… middle age clearly disabled struggling client. I accept my Young Carer daughter didn’t have id when she first went in. However, when items are purchased in advance, by account with name, photo id and person on id stood there CLEARLY the SALE from the PREVIOUS day could be handed to the middle aged woman who paid???! As it happens, the whole ordeal lead to a neuro episode and I was near collapse. I had to shout for manager in fact anyone to help my daughter…a fellow customer held the door. They caused the episode but stood back and watched as my daughter, in tears struggled to keep me off the floor. After I shouted the manager came and carried the 3 items I had purchased the day before. I think he put them in the car for us, I am unsure because I was concentrating on working my way round the car. I had to stay in the disabled bay for some time in order to compose myself to drive home. If disabled go to Butts Bridge Screwfix… Unless you want to experience humiliation and discrimination do not go Hindley if disabled. Or… actually… do what I will do now…. Use Toolstation!!!
