Staff on the till this morning are rude, no good morning, didn’t offer to serve us, just stood there talking to her colleague so felt forced to use the self service. (Woman with brown hair styled like a poodle)
For a smaller store it has a very good range of items that you would find in the big stores friendly and helpful staff easy parking and staff willing to assist with heavy items.
B&Q Northwich itself is ok, but recently had a little match pot of farrow and ball emulsion that we loved, went to buy it and the guy at the mixing station talked us out of it and said it was rubbish and that he would mix us the same colour with a far superior paint scrub able, scuff proof etc etc, I heard him tell an old couple the exact same! Well the paint he mixed was hugely less superior to the farrow and ball that we had tested on the wall and the colour was no where near a match!! Buying on line from the f&b company itself from now on
Easy access, great products, excellent service. Dissappointment at there being no cashiers on the checkout though. There seems to be an assumption that every customer is comfortable with self-checkouts, which is not the case at all, particularly with a large queue forming behind you. I have never had to use a scanning gun before, nor had to manhandle heavy items in order to locate the barcode. Poor show.

Staff stood about talking. No help given with heavy items. Had to interupt conversation to ask where chain was. Down there then carried on conversation never came to see if I needed help cutting it. Pricing not clear. Went elsewhere
I went in here in December 2022 to find a simple electric bar heater for the conservatory. The shop seems to be disorganised, making difficult to find any heaters or anything else for that matter. Having finally found a sort of heating section, I realised that they only sell "up market" electric heaters (if there is such a thing). Sadly no cheap and cheerful bar heater to be found. Not to worry, Amazon came to the rescue but I had to stay cold for a day or so waiting for the delivery..
Small but quite a good size. You can find most of things in here. Staff are really great.
Large store with usual items. Perhaps not surprisingly the plants looked past their best. Still got grass seed and lawn feed but couldn't find Autumn treatment so got some lawn sand to try. Never used it before but hopefully will help reduce the moss in my lawn.
Today I had a very good customer experience at B&Q on the paint section. The gentleman that assisted me was very knowledgeable of the products and very helpful. A great salesman! Saved me money too.
