   John is amazing! Squeezed us in out of hours this evening when we weren't even registered and really cared about our boy and made sure he wasn't left in pain after injuring his paw. Thank you so much! Will be registering both dogs. Highly recommend!

   John helped me at a very difficult time , my 18yr old fur baby unfortunately needed to cross the rainbow bridge on a bank holiday Sunday. John was extremely helpful, professional and compassionate even though I was a compleat mess. I can't thank him enough . I was not a registered customer at the time but my future veterinary needs will be .

   John is very diligent and apply fair prices in the context of overcharging being a common practice unfortunately… I have moved away but still travels to Abbeywood Vets for emergencies, rather than going to an unknown corporate hospital my new vet is recommending. John knows my dog and is always there when need be. He has the pet’s interest in mind. Really recommend his services.

   John is a very experienced vet who saw and treated my dog. Did the assessment quickly, gave her pain relief and antibiotic injections as she was too unwell to eat. We saw John on 2 consecutive days for treatment and then by text and photos to check progress. My dog is 12 now and has been to John on three occasions where I needed quick and accurate decision making and treatment. I have every confidence and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the surgery as an independent vets where animal welfare comes first!

   Phoned this vet 2 weeks ago after reading numerous glowing reviews, there was no answer but quickly received a txt asking for information, not an issue. Numerous txts / whatsapps / emails later he had all mine and my dogs information but I didn't hear anything back. Thought he must be busy, not a problem, so the next week I followed up with an email and repeated all the information in the single email so it was all in one place for him to look over. Over a week later still no response so sent him a text yesterday - again nothing. Phoned this morning and guess what.... no response yet again! Does this vet actually want new clients? Luckily I was just trying to register a pet so not urgent but a bit of common decency goes a long way, he could have at least said he didn't want to take us on instead of taking all our details and wasting my time! I have since read a very damaging report where he was found guilty of several counts of mis-conduct in 2018 due to inadequate treatment of a dog and told the owners the only option was to put it down when their where other options available - I think we may have dodged a bullet!

   John was the vet for my elderly dog a few years ago and was amazing - The concern, support and advice regarding my dog was above and beyond - nothing was too much trouble, including answering the phone and seeing my dog at any time, any day (24/7) unfortunately my pet was put to sleep - Again John was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble in relation to the information, advice and guidance he provided me with, and ensuring my wishes were followed. This was 8-9 years ago and I decided to get a kitten in 2020 - Unfortunately it already had a package with a well known big company...Huge mistake!! They were terrible once the package ran out! And only money orientated and not interested in my animal. Unfortunately my now cat obtained a wound a week ago which needed urgent treatment and I was unsure what to do....I contacted John, he answered immediately and had my my cat in and sorted on the same day (after hours and in his own time due to my working hours). The aftercare he has provided me and my cat with remains above and beyond, including regular checking up on my cat and answering questions/providing information 24/7 (most of which is in his own time!) GREAT VET WHO IS FOCUSED ON TREATING THE ANIMAL AND NOT THE MONEY!! Personally - It's nice to find someone in this day and age who is NOT interested in ripping the customer off!!

   I’m disgusted by this vetinary clinic the service is absolutely atrocious. You can never get through to a real person and just spend your day sending messages back and forth to John who I do not find incredibly helpful. My dog will definitely not be coming back to this vetinary clinic.

   John has been our family vet for years. He has cared for all 4 of our dogs and cats as well. This morning our dog Alfie decided it was her time to go. John helped her on this journey in the most dignified way I’ve ever encountered in the service. John ensured our family were comfortable with the procedure start to end, he price matched the lowest quote we could get and treated Alfie today, he didn’t delay or prolong her suffering. Johns best interests are with the animal at all times, and I have never encountered another professional in the industry with his ethics and beliefs. Losing a lifelong pet is hard, Alfie was a member of the family and will leave a huge hole.    Terrible experience with this Vet. Text only, extremely dogey exchange. Demanded I come immediately, when I said I needed to have sister take him because I can't make it that soon (at work) starts asking why I'm not coming and wasting his time. Quote "Are you coming or not?". Have not been responded to this rudely in my life. I'm shocked at some of the seemingly positive reviews on here. Why would they let such a horrible person look at their pet?
