As motorway services go it's quite a good one. Good choice on offer for food & drink.

Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Windows only open an inch or 2, not ideal in August heat. Will return.

It's hard to give a valuable review to this place. I mean, it's a travelodge on the side of a motorway. If you're looking for a cheap option and don't care about pomp and circumstance then the best I can say is that this is an adequate hotel. If you're after a busboy taking your bags out of your Rolls while the concierge assures you that they can discreetly get you "whatever you need" then maybe this ain't the place for you...

A bit tricky to get to if coming from the North. Definitely the smallest Travelodge room I've stayed in (might have just been my room?) but it was just for an overnight stopover so it didn't really impact me but something to consider if you're staying multiple nights with another person. Was at the front of the hotel and found it rather noisy with the deliveries going to the services. Room and bathroom were clean, no complaints there. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Debbie on nights couldn't have been any more helpful. It was so nice to be welcomed with a lovely smile and so very helpful. The room was beautifully clean. The only complaint (and only an observation was 1 towel had a tiny stain but was obvious still clean). Then when we left the day staff continued with the Happy smiling and curtious treatment. 10/10 to everyone. Not a single dust or spiders web in sight. Beds were firm and comfortable. The newish carpet in the hall way was a marked improvement from our visit roughly a year ago. And all for under £48. Well done to everyone x

Not luxurious but adequate for our one night stay. Pleasant and friendly staff, conventional door key could cause unwelcome fumblings in the night! Clean and comfortable room, adequate bathroom but only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel (but l am sure that the receptionist would have sorted this if we had complained) plenty of DIY beverages, free WiFi for 30 minutes - long enough to catch up on the day's emails. Close proximity to the shopping precinct (currently being developed and extended) offering all the usual suspects plus - unusually my personal favourite Pret a Mangé - with KFC, Costa Coffee, Burger King, M&S and WH Smith. Excellent value for money. Particularly convenient for Westbound travellers on the M62 but not quite so convenient for Eastbound travellers. Also handy for the A 1.

I've used this Travelodge several times on long journeys between Scotland and the South as it is in a convenient position, has plenty of parking, is adjacent to several food outlets and the staff are always welcoming. On this occasion, however, I found that the toilet in my room had been used and not flushed and there were large quantities of animal hairs all over the floor suggesting that room cleaning had not been thorough. I mentioned this to the receptionist as I left and she did not appear particularly concerned. On the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable and that is all that I needed for one night. So, could do far better on cleaning on this occasion.
