Stayed in room Scarborough. Online the pictures of the rooms looked really nice. When they took me to the Scarborough room looked nothing like the wood beam roofs and grand beds on the pictures. Room was clean. No lock on bathroom door no door on the shower and it was very small so water went everywhere as I'm 6ft..cleaners knocked on my door in the morning even tho it said do not disturb on the handle it was 10 am check out is 11am. Blind in my room wouldn't come down so had to use curtains. The keys I was given are attached to a massive block what won't fit in my pocket the key I was given did not lock my main room door. So risk getting my valuables stolen..When it's dinner time all staff go to help with dinner was left standing in the bar area with my girl for 10mins before I was served a beer. ANPR checks on your car when you enter car park so puts you on edge at check out as you risk a £60 fine it was a Saturday night no entertainment or band or even football on the screens which was disappointing.. the girl on reception young blonde hair was really polite and helpful with a big smile and young lad. But the guy at the bar looked like he did not want to be there. For £115 for the night it was just not worth it I did not eat so can't comment on the food. Location not much to see when neighboring town Harrogate there are spa hotels that offer so much more for that kind of price. Don't think I'll return certainly not with ARPN check on my car totaly over the top

First visit, for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday. A weekday night so we sat in the pub area. Quiet, bright, exceptionally clean. The barman was very welcoming and friendly. Menu isn’t huge but adequate, limited for vegetarian or vegan, but the waitress was able to check food suitably as they have an allergy/contents matrix, so no chancing! The waitress was equally as friendly and pleasant. Food was excellent! The fish and chips were lovely, wasn’t clean on the minted mushy peas, texture felt like marrowfat peas mushed down rather than true mushy peas! Beyond that very nice - see pix

Great for food and a drink after a long walk. Rooms look nice as well, though we didn't stay over so I can't comment any further. Staff really nice and welcoming. Classy feel to the place!

I stayed here for 1 night recently. It is a really nice place in a great location. I had dinner which was lovely and the front of house staff were excellent. Unfortunately I found my breakfast choice inedible. I informed the staff who said they would take the cost of breakfast off my bill but unfortunately this hasn’t happened which is disappointing.

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is very modern and well set out and the service excellent. The food was amazing at a more than fair price for the standard. There is a good selection on the menu and I would highly recommend a visit.

A lovely place with a nice relaxed atmosphere to wine and dine. Also a good choice of delicious food dishes to choose from the menu, and a great waiters service. Many thanks to Tara for making our visit more enjoyable and making us feel very much at home

This is a great place to stay if you wish to visit Harrogate, York, knaresborough ect. The Castle Inn has a great place to eat, great food and really great staff to go with the service, the only let down was the room being tired and needed a refresh but the bed was really comfortable and a slight noise from the road, if you book, look at a superior room, don't let our room experience put you off as I would definitely recommend if you wish to explore the area.

My wife and I visited for Sunday lunch at the weekend, the beef roast was delicious. Staff were very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere very relaxing. I've visited here before and would definitely return.
