   Awful. Just dreadful. Had to feel for the poor girl behind the bar as nearly all the beers failed. Terrible atmosphere in the pub and sadly won’t be going back.

   Great place to stay. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed so we ate elsewhere. A bit away from the city center but the bus system was grand so no problems.

   Would not recommend. Manager could not find the key to our allocated room we were given room1 overlooking the car park. Very dated. No bedside table on the left and no lamps. Most uncomfortable bed very unkept, bed linen creased. Shower was mouldy as per photos. Very noisy until 12.50 when customers and staff left for the night. We were told if we needed anything they could be contacted before midnight otherwise no staff on the premises until 11am the next day!! To leave our key on the outside of the room door so cleaner knew we had gone so the room could be made up. Window handles broken so we’re not going to try and open to freshen the room which had a stale smell.

   Stopped here when working in the local area. Nice friendly helpful staff. Secure parking around the back, however, is quite tight when entering. The only downside is a shared bathroom but was fine for 1 night. Also, they did a really good shandy. It's cheaper than most other places in the area for a room.

   I don't know what the pub is like, but we just rented a room for the night. Our room was quite dated but if you are staying for one night it's not bad. I was very disappointed with the shared shower though as it was VERY difficult to set up and the water was sometimes freezing and sometimes hot and the pressure was different...

   Spent the night in York. Our stay at Saddle Inn was very nice. The staff were happy and friendly. Rebecca was very chatty and didn't avoid spending time with any of the customers. The room was very cosy and did exactly as it says on the tin. The breakfast was lovely. We were offered a choice and had a full English. We would definitely recommend staying here. An all round pleasant experience.

   We visited this wonderful pub during a weekend stay in York. The welcome was extremely warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing! Definitely Michelin standard. I would highly recommended a visit to this pub and look forward to returning soon!!

   What a lovely find. Great atmosphere, warm, friendly and welcoming. The landlady was very informative, helpful and friendly. We had read about the new chef so thought we would give it a go and have a drive out. The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back!

   Great value B&B, we have had a drink in here many times as have friends in the area and it has always been great service with friendly staff and owners. We tried out the B&B when attending a christening and found the room (Room 1) very good for the price we paid. Very clean with a nice comfy bed and drink making facilities, both the vegetarian and meat breakfast where very good and filling and not surprisingly very good staff and service. Would definetly reccommend

   My boyfriend and I came here for a few drinks after travelling 4 hours. We couldn't have asked for a better place! Absolutely wonderful pub, couldn't fault the place whatsoever. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and very clean. Will definitely be coming back!
