This pub has recently been taken over by Brett and Bronte it's just what our village has needed for a long time. Hard working couple with lots of ideas, children and pet friendly and very approachable. Done so much in such a short period of time, yes it needs a little bit of refurbishing inside the pub and a tidy up outside the delivery area, but given time this pub is the place to be. All great reviews on the food new chef doing a great job and very friendly staff.

Stayed at the inn for the weekend. Rooms are nice and clean. Right next to the pub, but you can't hear it, even the live music. Pub is lovely. Maybe the menu is lacking choice, but the pizzas are really delicious. Parking doesn't have number plate recognition anymore so no issues with it. There's no breakfast, but café across the road is serving sandwiches and cakes.

Nice welcoming pub, clean & comfortable accommodation in separate block, car parking on site, dog friendly throughout. Unfortunately, no chef at present but one due to start soon but pizza available during our stay and excellent cafe over the road serving variety of cooked breakfasts.

I recently visited this place for the first time, even though we live in Boroughbridge and have heard so many great things about it! With its impressive social media presence, we decided to stop by for a drink during the week. To our delight, the venue was bustling, with every table occupied by people enjoying pie night. The pies looked and smelled incredible, and we definitely plan to return to try them! It was also nice to see the owner on-site, hosting the weekly quiz—a clear sign of their dedication to the establishment. The bar staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and chatty, which added to the inviting atmosphere. We loved the vibe of both the tipi and the indoor seating. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back for drinks and food more often. Well done to the team here—support your local!

Lovely, cosy pub, with a log burning stove but really disappointed with the roast beef dinner. The beef was very undercooked and cold compared to what we expected. However, the veg was full of flavour and we can’t fault the amount of food given! The girls who served us were brilliant though, super speedy with drinks and even gave us a free round for the trouble caused! 5 stars for the girls x

What a great little place. Cosy bedrooms with a wonderful cottage feel, great welcoming and friendly staff. Didnt stay the entire night as continued our journey but will definitely book again without hesitation when in the area

I wish I could give a zero. I ordered the beef burger without fries and it arrived in a bowl on a serviette with no dressing whatsoever. When i tried to bite into it I felt something rock hard. I attempted to cut the burger and I could not. Even bashing it with a knife was not successful! The worst excuse for a burger I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. Needless to say it was returned and not paid for.
