Sadly, last night I lost the love of my life, my beautiful cat Beans. I just wanted to express to you all how grateful I am, especially to Sim, the most incredible vet and wonderful person. You all made the most difficult time of my life a little easier. Your care and genuine sympathy is something that you have in heaps. I would call but I just can't talk about it at the moment but I have emailed separately. Thank you everyone there ❤️ Daz

Thank you to the lovely Paulina who treated one of my bunnies in an OOH clinic on Saturday. My Frankie was in gut stasis and needed pain relief and gut stimulant meds. I was incredibly anxious visiting a non exotics vet - however, Paulina was very knowledgeable about rabbits and treated us with absolute kindness and understanding. I continued nursing Frankie at home myself, with assisted feeds and meds - 36 hours later and he has begun to nibble again! Paulina understood how delicate bunnies are and agreed that if we were able then home nursing was better than admitting all three of our buns. Thank you again Paulina. I highly recommend this vet for bunny care.

While the staff at Pet Medics were polite and very caring towards my cat, Freddie, I am deeply disappointed with the diagnostic outcome. My cat was brought in for urinary issues, and the vets suggested a urinary stone after ultrasound and cathertiriation but after a 2nd opinion, it wasn’t actually present. This led to unnecessary stress and a £1,000+ operation that wasn’t needed. The second opinion at Barnsley animal trust confirmed there was no stone via x-ray and ultrasound + 4 different opinions from there team all confirming none present. This experience has been very frustrating as this whole process could have been managed if the vets had given us the right tools to help with his urinary issues I.e. supplements related to reducing stress etc. I hope they review their diagnostic procedures to prevent this kind of issue in the future.

If i could give this vets a 0* rating i would, a couple of months back we brought our new puppy dexter to this vets after we were recommended to seek medical attention now. So we did just that, we had only had dexter for three days he was 10 weeks old, and he was acting very strange, blood in his stool, not very playful and extremely lethargic. Upon me, my partner and my friend bringing him to the vets we were all extremely worried and very upset. They took Dexter away from us and took him to a seperate room whilst they ‘examined’ him, we then got pulled into a seperate room where we were rudely spoken to as if we’d brought him there for no reason, we were told ‘he’s up fine and running around’ (he had been lay down in the same position all day got up once to have a runny toilet break.) We explained why we’d brought him in and explained how he was not acting how a puppy should to which again we were spoken down to and got told he’s fine and it was a waste of time coming in. We were then brought dexter back who was lay in the exact same position he was when we’d brought him in in the crate. The next morning to be sure we took him to our local vets (Trafford Vets, an amazing group of people) where unfortunately we were told dexter’s body is so cold it’s like his organs were shutting down on him, and that there was something wrong with his bowel, we were told this within minutes of being in the vet after we spent less than 30 minutes in Pet Medics to be told there was nothing wrong with him. Later that day Dexter had to be euthanised at 10 weeks old as his body would not withstand surgery. Our first ever fur baby was not given the correct medical attention upon visiting this place. Maybe if he was he would still be here today. Appalled by the way the Vet spoke to us and appalled she gave us information which CLEARLY was not factual. Maybe it was because we went through the PDSA as times are hard and we were being looked down on, but it’s beside the point, EVERY animal should have a right to be properly checked and saved in every way possible. Maybe it was just this one vet however our experience was that poor that I would not recommend this vet even if they were the only ones open and I shall never attend this Emergency Vet’s ever again. I hope no one ever has to go through this, and may our boy Dexter be running in a big field up there finally out of his pain. We now have his sister so we can always carry a part of him with us in our hearts. And please do not give us the same automated response you give to everybody. We do not want it. We’ve had an email off you explaining everything that happened, but it was all WRONG. You just took the word of everything that vet said to you. We do not wish to hear from you and we definitely do not want to be told what we said and that it’s a lie. There’s three witnesses to this conversation and one vet, Let’s not believe everything they say to be true.

My dwarf hamster had a prolapsed cheek. As it was a Sunday my normal vets was closed so this practice was suggested. I rang the vets and explained the issue. They asked me to send a video. Once the video was sent I received a response within ten minutes. We went straight down and only waited a few minutes to be seen. Unfortunately we had to have her put to sleep. The vet and reception staff were warm and friendly. Would use these vets again in an emergency

The staff were excellent from the first contact by phone to leaving the practice. They were helpful, respectful and explained our options in a courteous manner . Our trip unfortunately didn’t have a happy ending but we were satisfied the course of action taken was in the best interests of our much loved Dog . Thanks once again to all concerned

Do the best you can to avoid this place! The reception staff have no people skills or customer service. You're just a number there, and because after 2 hours of waiting and the place being very quiet, I had the audacity to ask for an estimated time until a vet get to see my dog that was crying in pain, I was called rude by one of the receptionists. All of them can really benefit by some hours of retraining, after all we are paying customers, we're not asking for favours. In the end, my dog has been seen by a veterinary nurse and prescribed treatment. This lady was really knowledgeable, pleasant and professional, but I paid the full price and I expected to see a vet, is this even legal? After all, I wasn't there because I had nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon until evening, I was there because my dog was in pain and nobody didn't care, they said is not a serious case - in an empty, quiet place that really makes sense. Hopefully, my dog would never need to go to a hospital again, but if necessary I will do everything in my power to avoid Petmedics.

Our dog was really unwell when I called them early in the morning to arrange an emergency appointment. I’ve got it straight away. All the staff were very helpful and friendly especially the doctor. She did a proper treatment and was very patient with us. I want to say thank you to them again. Highly recommended

Took my little westie after she had deteriorated over the weekend we could not get an appointment at the local vets but they recommended the pet medic at Worsley as it was a 24 hour emergency Our family pet was 16 and a nervous dog especially when at a vets I rang up and registered and then we went straight away upon arrival we were acknowledged promptly and sat in a quite area, our little dog was getting stressed and she was very poorly, even though we had been sat a short while the receptionist approached us to say she was fast tracking our little dog as she could see she was getting stressed We saw a lovely vet called Olga who treated our little dog with kindness and was gentle we knew it was time to let her go and despite this my partner and I were in bits and so upset but Olga was so kind ,we took our dog wrapped in her blanket into a quite room sat on a sofa whilst she went to sleep it was very quick and peaceful, seeing how upset we were Olga asked if we would like to sit and hold our fur baby a while. A few days later we received a lovely card with a paw print and a condolence note from the team at Pet Medic We have today picked up our little buddy’s ashes and again the girl on reception was very respectful and gentle when handing our little dog to us. I am sorry we didn’t get the names of the two girls on both occasions We are heartbroken on having to let our little dog go but the experience we received from the year at Pet Medic was outstanding and meant a great deal to us Thank you all
