Lovely location. However. Due to things outside of my control I was asked to leave. Nothing I had done while there. I was told (by police actually) that I’d be issued a refund. That was over a month ago. And despite several attempts for me to contact them - no response. No refund. They kept my tent and items of mine inside it. Not happy and wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed at Aarons campsite and found the views and staff amazing. Our car broke down as soon as we arrived and the warden tried to call a few people to help us out. Unfortunately it couldn't be fixed but we continued with our weekend plans anyway. Only downside is there is no shower block the locals keep rejecting this. Once a shower block is approved I would be booking right away. The little food hut was good food and great value. The pub itself had an open mic night and was great entertainment.

Very basic but in a beautiful location and with friendly staff. The field we stayed on had two portaloos (which weren’t very clean and had no paper) and no water (so quite far to go to get water from the main site), so bring toilet paper and water carriers (depending on which field you’re on)! Great atmosphere and family friendly - fantastic for the kids to run around and play. Lovely that when you rent a fire pit the staff deliver it to your site with firewood and kindling (although it was a little damp). Would absolutely recommend but be prepared to get back to basics!

We attended the site with friends and had an amazing time. The bar on site was very reasonable and a good laugh! Big shout out to Shane and Nigel both went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We hope to see you all again very soon!

Fantastic alternative type of site . The facilities are very rustic so bare that in mind . However the bar is fabulous, live music on a Friday led by the family , Nigel and Shane . Saturday open mic night so plenty of entertainment. Site is laid back , firepits Inc logs and kindling are only 15 quid and saves you having to bring it . Decent burning logs too ! Nigel is aways full of fun and Shane the new boy is an incredibly friendly and helpful person.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend camping here. A welcoming owner on this great hilltop location with a good choice of walks from site to hebden bridge, cragg vale and sowerby bridge. Facilities are basic but it all adds to the fun of the stay. Would definitely stay again.

Second time visiting and will keep returning. Basic campsite, stunning scenery and the owner is a great guy to chat with. Onsite barn bar and toilets. Cheap as chips at a tenner per person. It has such a lovely vibe. Only 30 minutes walk to local pub church stile inn, very friendly too. Love this site so much ❀

Very friendly, welcoming and excellent atmosphere. Lovely little campsite that's very cheap, with a little bar and toilet facilities. There's somewhere to wash up and refill water. Beautiful surroundings up in the hills. We arrived in a campervan and had 2 other pitches booked for tents. Very cheap price at just 10quid a night per person. Firepits available and bbqs allowed so long as you don't burn the grass! The owner himself is a top bloke and we will be returning to this gorgeous little place soon

Absolutely glorious setting. Loads of space to choose from. Plenty of toilets and fresh water available. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Fire pits and fuel provided for Β£12.50- absolute bargain and kept us going 2 nights. Will 100% be back regularly

This was our first attempt at camping and we had a brilliant time. Plenty of space to pitch up. No frills camping unless you count the loos (kept clean) fire pits set up ready to go which we loved. Oh the onsite shop for bits n bobs and the bar. Friendly staff who were on hand if you needed anything. The location is beautiful. Dog friendly too. There were families pitched up in our field and it was lovely seeing the kids playing together without tech. Take a wind breaker its windy which made it feel colder than it was. There's plenty of shops within driving distance for shopping, take aways and other essentials. And countryside galore for ramblers or cyclists. We even saw a doe with her fawn in the next field.
