Receptionist at Walkley was lovely and very accommodating in trying to get to a position to help. The GP at Stannington, on the other hand, was incredibly rude. After suffering severe symptoms, advice was needed on next steps and was told that I shouldn't have called as it's wasting time. It was a 3 minute call. Have some compassion and empathy for people you're speaking to - they are ill and not calling up for a chit chat, if they were they certainly wouldn't speak to you.

Terrible terrible surgery - avoid giving you an appointment at all costs, often don’t even ring to discuss condition with you. Simply get a different GP every time sending a text in response to your online forms. Can tell they don’t check medical history as I’ve had the same medication prescribed more than once, when I requested something different. Have to really fight to get seen or referred to relevant departments. Reception staff also rude and insulting - acting as if your issues are below them.

Doctors default position in this surgery is that you are lying ir wrong. I have spent years trying to have chrinic problems dealt with only to be continuously fobbed off and made to feel like I'm bithering them about being ill. If going to this surgery make sure that if a doctor refuses you treatment that they write it in your records. It wasn't until i looked at my records I realised how dishonest the doctors at this surgery are about their decision making.

On a lot of medication over 14 different ones! Doctors never send my repeat script over so I struggle every Monday without medication which could cause me to have a seizure! Doctors take forever to ring back! I’ve had no help while I’ve been here with my health and asked a doctor for help and get no where! This surgery is making me feel like giving up on life it’s that bad

Never had any problems with Reception staff, always polite and sorted any issues. Only one Dr now at the Practice, that I have confidence to discuss my multiple Medical issues. Amended review: I left this practice after becoming seriously ill with a Respiritory virus mid December 2019 some Drs were incredibly nasty not the Drs taking their Hippocratic Oath. I needed multiple GP appointments A&E and Walk in Centre visits 111 calls and out of hours GP appointments. I had never experienced any illness like this previously. Well I have gone on to develop classic long covid symptoms before the phrase was coined and this on my medical records (remember the virus responsible for killing millions and permanently injuring many millions more) So instead of being treated with urgency and sympathy I was treat with contempt.

I have actually found the online system really good and the response rate has been sufficient. Once you get used to it it's actually pretty quick to complete. Hope this way it cuts down on people seeing a doctor when really they don't need to and can self medicate or the doctor can give advice on what to do next. The doctors I have seen this year have been brilliant very helpful and I have been referred to the appropriate place and support with efficiency. It's not perfect but they are working with what they have got and I appreciate it. X

Not providing any service at all. My GP has sat on my repeat prescription request for 4 working days and after I have now run out of medication, is uncontactable via phone or online forms. Surely approving a repeat prescription is a two second job? Letting patients run out of antidepressants is also irresponsible as abruptly stopping them can have very negative side effects. I would rather take my chances buying my medication on the black market than deal with this surgery.

I have loved this practice but the last two times I’ve had to phone for a 90 year old I’m a career for then I’ve been waiting half an hour. This is mid afternoon not a busy time in the morning. She has no internet access and I really worry how old people without a career could access the system or get anybody to answer the phone. I found all the waiting stressful and I’m not 90 years of age. Please get more people to answer the phone for those of us who don’t have computers or the time to wait for lengthy periods

The new e-triage system is so helpful if you are a busy person and can't spend ages waiting in phone queues. I submitted my problem and the GP called me back really quickly to discuss and write a prescription. I had a problem with the prescription at the chemist and when I went into the surgery the receptionist was polite and really helpful and the prescription was resent within minutes. I have found the GPs compassionate about my mental health and other problems. A bit hard to get an appointment soon for routine things, but I'll be using the Klinic system in future if I feel I need to book sooner than the available online appointments as it seems like it works well.
