   First time using these kennels for my dog Bodhi and hes come back looking better than when he went in! Hes been brushed, bathed i think (he smells amazing) had lots of exercise and attention given to him and overall had a brilliant time. I was due to pick him up on Friday however got stuck in traffic so he ended up staying another night and the owner didnt charge me for the extra night. Thank you all so much for taking care of bodhi will use you again in future! Xx

   After taking our dog to the kennels, we explained she was an affectionate dog. We explained everything about her and what she needed. We knew she couldn't have the time and love we give her but was reassuresd she would have an adequate amount of play time and attention. I rang the Kennels daily to check on her. To be told she was doing really well. No issues and eating well, no issues at all. When we picked her up, we were told that she's not suitable for kennels, she hadn't eaten properly and shouldn't be placed in them in future. She left with terrible tummy problems, literally couldn't keep anything in for 3 days. She also had a very bad smell and clearly wasn't looked after. Thankfully she has finally got back to her usual happy self. If not completely healthy. Please be wary if leaving your baby that needs attention and love! Or care in general!

   Our Maine Coon kitten (Tony) stayed at Riverside last summer. We collected a very happy, healthy kitten who had grown immensely in just one week, to the extent whereby his cat carrier broke under the pressure of his growth, but the staff very kindly gave us one of their own to transport him safely home. Thank you Riverside :) We have booked Tony and our new addition (Sandra) in again this summer. I highly recommend.

   This is the second time I have used Riverside for my dog Crumpet who is at Riverside at present whilst I have to work away from home. The staff are lovely and always helpful even when I had to change the dates of stay due to the Doctors strikes When I dropped her off Crumpet happily trotted off. I think I miss her more than she does me:-) Update (Nov 2024) I picked up Crumpet a few days ago from what must be her 5th or 6th stay. It was a cold spell so was happy that the kennels are heated Although again I missed her she appeared to be quite happy when I collected her. The staff are lovely and whenever we walk past the kennel Crumpet is happy to see the staff as they are often exercising the dogs. Thank you again Riverside Kennels and Cattery.

   We had booked our dog in for our holiday. Seemed really friendly on the phone, went over the fact that he's a large rescue dog, they were really reassuring. On the day I phoned in the morning to ask about drop off times, super friendly they said any time before 11 or from 3-5. As my partner finished work at 16.30 we agreed to come then. We had a shocker of a day and were running late so phoned to say we'd be getting there at 5pm. The owner had a massive go at us saying we should have been there for 9am and that they don't take dogs like ours. After a big old cry we had to pull in all our favours and in the end had to drive to Gloucester to drop him with friends. Really sorry that we were 15mins late, we just had an awful day. But the owner reduced us both to tears.

   Used to take my previous Cairn Terrier - Louie there and we never a problem when he came home! Now we have another Cairn - TeSsie she’s only 6 months old and we were very concerned putting her in kennels so young but the trip we were making was unavoidable due to my husband’s (Michael) illness, however no need to have worried she was there 6 days and she’s fine , no problems back at home straight back into her/our routine! Thank you Joe and the team for looking after our furry baby so well, Tess will be back with a much less worried Mummy next time x

   Excellent kennels and friendly staff. We have used the same kennels for almost 10 years, but Riverside came to our rescue due to a last minute change of plans. We will be using Riverside from now on. Our 18 month old springer had a great stay with them over Christmas. He has come home clean and relaxed. We have already booked him in for his next stay. Professional and friendly staff who clearly work hard to look after their guests. The grounds of the kennels are stunning. Thank you so much for looking after Wallace. See you in May!

   Just picked up my 6 month old Jack Russell puppy from a week long stay, having booked based on other Google reviews. The staff are all so lovely and could not have been more helpful. My pup looked happy and healthy and smells pretty good for a week in kennels. The location is amazing and it’s nice to see their own dogs in the grounds who again look happy and healthy. Will definitely use again!

   This is the first time we have used riverside and the first time our dog has been in kennels and I couldn't have wished for a better first experience. The staff were lovely and friendly and genuinely cared about the animals. My dog came home happy and healthy. We will certainly be using them again in the future.

   We have used Riverside three times in the past 6 months and cannot fault the service and care they provide to our Rottweiler Rex. The staff at Riverside were very welcoming of such a large breed dog and when we went to collect Rex he did not want to leave. It puts our mind at easy when we take the occasional trip away. Very reasonably priced too!
