For reference: me and my husband went on holiday for two weeks, so we left our 2 cats in this cattery. We asked for them both to stay together. One is an adult cat, which is sociable with humans, while sometimes being a bit shy, but is not sociable with other cats besides our 2nd cat. The 2nd cat is a senior cat that gets nervous around new people and new environments, but he can be sociable with humans, even visiting our neighbour's for a cuddle. We were expecting both cats to be somewhat nervous at least during the first days since neither of them had been in a cattery, but we were constantly told that both cats were doing great, the issue was on the day we picked them up. When we got to the cattery today, I expected to be asked/invited to visit my cats and place them inside the carriers, but that did not happen. Me and my husband were left outside hearing one of the owners trying to collect the cats, which sounded terrible as we could hear constantly things dropping and the cats jumping around - I did ask if they wanted help, but I did not get a reply and I didn't want to just walk in in case a cat could escape. Then, when we were given the cats, the owner excused the bags being wet saying a bottle of water had fallen on them, but they smelled extremely awful of cat pee. To the point where we had to wash the carriers and our clothes as soon as we got home. Our cats now also stink extremely badly of pee, which they have never done under our care, but worse, the older cat, which is the more relaxed cat, was terrified. He got home and kept hiding for a couple of hours, showing his eyes extremely open and ears pulled all the way back, reacting to every little sound around the house, by running and hiding away. He is now back to himself, besides the awful smell of pee. TL;DR: I will never use this cattery again and do not recommend it at least for others with cats that are shy or not as sociable.

So this was the first time us leaving our cat in a Cattery due to him being diabetic and he needed extra care. Lisa made us feel so at ease and seeing reviews she had cared for other diabetic cats was a relief. We were delayed by 27hrs on our return and nothing was too much to help or bother for the extra night needed. Highly recommend. Love me, Dan and Bentley :)

This was the first time leaving our cat, Maynard. My daughter was really upset. Jane was so lovely and reassuring. She sent us WhatsApp picture updates whilst we were away. When we collected him, he was more than happy enjoying Jane's snuggles and kisses. We'd highly recommended. Thanks Jane. Gail xx

Thank you so much for looking after our little Luca. He stayed in a Garfield-themed cabin, very spacious and had a few toys to keep him occupied. We also had regular updates and photos of Luca, really appreciate that. Will definitely book him again in the future. xx

Put my cat in this cattery for a weekend. He's a shy, nervous cat that has diabetes so put him in for a weekend to see how he'd be before going in for 2 weeks later in the year. The owner took good care of him and he settled down enough for his injections to be done without trouble. One nice thing was when I picked him up the owner gave me a sort of diary of his stay, saying how he'd been, which was good and reassuring. I'm very happy to put my cat back in here again, the facilities are good and the owner is very nice and I can tell that she genuinely loves animals and will care for any cat like it's her own.

I took my two cats for an eight day stay and can honestly say I was very impressed. The cabins are very spacious and have all sorts of nooks for them to hide in. There are side boards for them to look outside and a heated back room to sleep in. Lisa assured me they would be visited regularly for feeds and playtime and both my cats seemed to settle in well. On collecting them they were both calm and happy. The cabins are locked and security cameras keep them safe. I have used a few places before and would never use anywhere else again. A lovely, local, family run business- what a treasure!!
