I would like to start off with saying how welcoming the staff are. Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed so far the service that the team there provided was top class. They were able to accommodate a meeting i had to attend to before even after i checked out. The rooms were clean and perfect for a short stay in knutsford. Location is also just a small walk away from the town centre. I would 10/10 recommend this place for everyone

Review just for the pub. Didn't eat or stay. Great layout and decent atmosphere. Mainly food oriented but there is an area for deinkers. Good selection of Holts beers on tap and 2 cask ales.

We stayed here for an overnight getaway with our dog. The pub is really cosy and charming and the landlady works incredibly hard, we didn’t see her stop from the minute of checking us into our room to us finishing up our evening meal! We were seated near the open fire which our dog loved after a rainy walk around Tatton Park. Service was fast and efficient and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend the breaded Camembert starter. The staff were really friendly and added to the relaxed atmosphere. It was also a bonus that it was trimmed up for Halloween, which again made it feel extra cosy. The room was clean, cosy and had everything we needed for our overnight getaway. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was just as charming as the pub and a lot of thought has been put into making it a lovely modern room in an old and historic building. Our room was roadside, which combined with the creaky floorboards above us and the airport flight path, did unfortunately lead to a lack of sleep and an early morning. None of these things can be helped at all, it’s clearly an old building and some things are unavoidable but definitely something worth bearing in mind if you’re looking for a deep sleep. I do believe that the people above could’ve been a bit lighter on their feet as they were very stompy (we were aware of our movements and we weren’t above any other rooms), no fault of the hotel’s but something to consider if you’re staying here. Overall, we had a lovely trip at this dog friendly pub & hotel and would definitely recommend it, just maybe ask for a room on the upper floor. Top tip 1: we managed to get parked at the end of King Street, there are 2-hour timing restrictions but if you time it right, you can park for free outside of the stated times (8am-6pm I believe). Top tip 2: If you’re planning on visiting Tatton Park, park your car at the end of King Street or in the council car park and walk in. We didn’t realise how close the entrance to the park was to the hotel so got stung with the Tatton Park £9 parking fee. There is a walking entrance roughly 2-minutes walk away from the pub’s front door. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and we’ll see you next time.

Great place to stop overnight before flight from Manchester Airport. Very friendly, great pub food, easy parking nearby and plenty of choices in the town for breakfast. Nice to be able to walk into Tattoo Park. Will definitely aim to stay in the future.

Didn't stay here. This review is solely based on service and supported by 5 satisfied customers. Although I had booked a table 10 or so days in advance, we arrived to find there was a slight misunderstanding. Before we had chance to find out what had happened the staff had cleared and prepared a table, literally not even 5 minutes of waiting time had passed, and this was on a Sunday at 1:30pm. Following being seated at the table we even had a high chair available with orders being taken in minutes. The team were excellent and service was perfect too. So thank you to all the staff at the Angel at King St for your service. Incidentally the food was great too, so much so that my 2 yr old grandson ate more on the day then he had in the previous 2 days, and his portion wasn't small either. He even ate some of his dad's dinner. Although we were fortunate on this occasion to have been able to get a table, however, it may not always work out like that. So ensure your booking is confirmed and maybe get an email to support it. This is a place I do like to return to and have done on a few occasions.

upon arrival as typical in all restaurants and pubs you expect a friendly greeting and are shown to where you will be seated. however this was not the case both the two staff members working saw us and decided to leave us waiting for 5 minutes so we had to go to the bar and wait another 5 minutes to be seen and shown to our table. Once sat down myself and my girlfriend ordered a three course meal including: chicken wings, lamb koftas to start following we both had the fish and chips and for desert we had two hot chocolates and two sticky toffee pudding with cream to begin with the starters were extremely lack luster and disappointing, we found the chicken wings flavourless and were over cooked. Moving onto the lamb koftas these were uncooked on the inside and over cooked on the outside this shows that they cooked these on a very high heat and did not allow them to be cooked through. With both of these started they were presented with a garish of rocket which was not necessary as it did not add any flavour. Next we had our mains and these were okay the fish was pleasant and the mushy peas were very nice despite this they still managed to mess it up with the portion of chips being extremely small couldn’t even feed a child so we had to go up to the bar and ask for more. still felt like for the price of £12.50 wasn’t worth it. lastly dessert didn’t leave us wanting to come back for more the two sticky toffee pudding tasted artificial and the hot chocolate’s lacked in flavour too. Overall I’d give the angel a 2/5 stars and wouldn’t recommend coming back or visiting.

Great pub, nice atmosphere and the food looks great. Limited beers as it's their own beers but there are run of the mill drinks. Nice pub to sit in on a Sunday. Had a chap playing guitar and singing, not loud but just enough. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal on new year's day - being part of a big group (22) it can be very hit and miss with food coming out slowly and orders just not quite right however the staff at The Angel did a fantastic job. The food arrived out all within a very short time, was piping hot and good quality. Our server Debbie did an amazing job for us as did the kitchen. The whole thing was seamless from the booking stage, increasing numbers on a regular basis and on the day, well done team Angel!
