Had a lovely Xmas meal here today. The staff were very friendly and the Christmas dinner was delicious. I had soup to start then Turkey which were both very nice. The meat was good quality. The restaurant also had some really good festive decorations. Great place to come and I would recommend.
Had a great Christmas party with a group of friends, superb turkey meal and pud and fab atmosphere, proper party tunes played by resident DJ, and requests taken throughout the night for the usual favourites, the staff were very attentive, the place is spotless and decorated traditionally for Christmas, great price for our overnight stay, thoroughly enjoyed it here, thank you to everyone involved. See you again soon
Visited The Elms on 10th of December 2025. We all chose off the Christmas menu. Two courses for £20.00 wow how do they do it for that price. The food was so good, staff and ambience fantastic. We were visiting friends but will definitely be back. All vegetables were fresh and well cooked. Food was hot and very flavoursome. Kicked off our Christmas celebrations in style.
Just for the carvery Amazing price (£11.99 at time of writing), with very well cooked meats (pork, lamb, beef) and excellent extras. Cauliflower cheese and mash got best reception with our family. Super service, friendly staff and lovely setting. Other customers were really friendly too, so s great atmosphere. Unbelievable price for a jug of Pimm's too!! (See pics)
I stayed here for one night on business, the staff were friendly and accommodating - I'd been on the road for a good number of hours and they kindly set me up in a quiet room to the side of the building. The room was large and comfortable, not overly modern but honest, clean, spacious and comfortable (and that's what is important!) I had an evening meal and the food was sensibly priced, served within 20 minutes or so, hot, plentiful and tasty, so ticked all the right boxes given it was 8pm and the first thing I'd eaten since the day before! All in, I'd be more than happy to stay here again - typically on business I stay in well known chain hotels as you know what you're going to get, however due to the location of my meeting in the area, this was the closest hotel available and I'm glad I booked it. Good staff, a room with some personality, fairly priced, nice food, comfortable. Everything you want after a very long day on the road!
The owners of the hotel are really nice and cater to the customers. Their Indian food is simply delicious coupled with the fact that they have a curated Indian restaurant just for Indian food. The staff are also very helpful. A family owned business winning the hearts of the town people. Enjoyed my stay here
Where do I start. The entertainment within the function room, the sociability within the bar and outer grounds is, as it should have been long ago. I’ve sampled the food in the restaurant and at the bar, each time I’ve been impressed with the quality. The owners and staff are so pleasant , I will definitely keep returning.
Fantastic staff great atmosphere. We spend new years eve here and the food was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make it a wonderful night for us all. I'd highly recommend stopping by and having a meal or even a few drinks.
