Stopped off here for a night while driving from up north to down south. Really good hotel, staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was plenty large and the atmosphere of the hotel was very comfortable. Very good breakfast with a nice restaurant area. Great location with a Morrisons across the road, easy access to the motorway and Rotherham only a few minutes drive down the road. Really good price and value for money, especially if you sign up to the free Ibis/Accor membership for members prices. Would recommend!

My welcome to the hotel after a long slow drive north along busy motorways was warm and friendly. The room was 'tired' but very clean and adequately furnished. I was advised by Wayne in 'Maintenance', they are due to be refurbished soon. When I checked out, the lady on Reception was cheerful and friendly. My stay was extremely welcoming and I shall certainly return again. Thank you all the staff. You are doing a great job. !!!

This was our second visit to this hotel. We like it because it is pet friendly and we can bring our dog. Generally a very enjoyable stay. Our room was only supplied with 2 bath towels, no hand towels. Staying two days, we asked for fresh towels on the second day as we were on our way out. On our return 5 bath towels had been left in our room. We only discovered as we were leaving that there is a meeting room which could be used for breakfast with our dog in attendance, as they obviously are not allowed in the dining area. We will make use of this the next time we visit.

My one night stay here at ibis was mostly positive. Staff were friendly and helpful on check-in. The rooms were of a good size and had all the necessary amenities, with very comfortable beds. The stay was pleasant, and quiet. However, there were a few downsides to the room. The room was quite dated, with quite tired carpets. The bathroom was alright but the drains were quite smelly everytime the taps were used. Finally, the TV had screen damage, pictured, in our room (this was within the TV, so not a crack on the screen). The hotel was in a perfect location for food with a Morrisons, a pub and a McDonalds outside and was in very easy reach of the M18 - with easy connection to the M1 and A1/A1(M). Overall, the stay was nice but the room could have done with some upgrading.

On check in I found the receptionist girl disinterested and rather blunt. Room was fine, bed was comfy but carpet looked like it had been trod on by a heard of wild boar. Kudos to the housekeeping as they obviously do a good job on the cleanliness and presentation. I ate in the pub (Sir Jack) opposite which was very good and i found the staff pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. Back at the hotel later i asked a different receptionist if they had a spare fan for my room to which she replied "sorry there's none" in an embarrassed demeanour. Okay I'll just sweat this out for the night!

I live in the area and tried to book in some business associates this morning but was informed this hotel is closed. However in the past it did house Asylum seekers for a couple of months and can only assume it plans to accept more shortly. This in my opinion makes this hotel useless to the local economy and as only helped to push up the prices of other local hotels in the area for working visitors of which you cant seem to get a room!!!

We stayed here for a wedding vow renewal. The reception was held in the bar area and I must congratulate the staff on the brilliant organisation. The buffet was excellent and the staff worked so hard to make the occasion so special. Our room was a bit tired but the breakfast was excellent and much more than we expected, especially for the money. Well done to everyone, I would stay again.

Budget accommodation, rooms are basic which is fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. The main concern I have is the cleanliness of the place, I find it to be generally dirty and unkempt. Main corridors and lift is filthy, my bedroom was disgusting. The windows had not been cleaned in a long time, there were cobwebs on the roof with dust on them and the toilet desperately needed some bleach or proper cleaning material. The sink had a dirty water smell emanating from it. To be honest, I showered inthe local gym rather than use the bathroom in my room. The doors of the rooms have not been cleaned in along time evidenced by the greasy marks on them. In the light of covid, this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. You can stay in much nicer cleaner places just as convenient

This is a budget hotel for quick lay overs. As a pit stop it has great service and good helpful staff. There is a McDonald's over the road and a carvery for 5.99. If you are used to top quality this ain't it. This is a low budget bed for the night. Had a good sleep and a great breakfast. Thanks
