Me and my partner rented a flat in Grassington through Belvoir, we found the application process very straightforward and didn’t have to wait too long to find out that we’d been accepted. Unfortunately we only stayed for agreed minimum tenancy because throughout the first nine months of living there we encountered a lot of issues with damp and leaking. In our final few months at the property we found Belvoir to be quite pushy about bringing people around for flat viewings. They pointed out a clause in our tenancy that stated they could conduct viewings in our final month of notice, but considering we were moving out weeks before our tenancy ended we thought it was reasonable to ask them to wait After we moved out it took over four weeks to get our deposit back. We initially contacted our old landlord about this issue and she told us it was Belvoir’s responsibility, but then when we contacted Belvoir they had to confirm everything with our ex landlord so ultimately we don’t know who was at fault. At the end of the day, the majority of the issues we had were with the condition of the flat and our old landlords incompetence. And though this isn’t directly Belvoir’s responsibility, unfortunately it still reflects poorly on them as they’re the ones happily letting the property knowing its condition and the issues previous tenants have had with the landlord. We would like to leave some positive feedback about Cara, who we spoke to regarding an incident with our old landlord. She was very helpful, informative and easy to speak to. We’d also like to thank Kevin, who was very quick to get our deposit released when we informed them of our issue.

While finding and moving home can be stressful once I'd decided where I wanted to be the team at Belvoir made the transition seamless. From the viewing(s) process through to document exchange all went smoothly and couldn't have been easier. Everything was done online so my first visit to Belvoir was to collect the keys! Having said that any phone call queries I had were always answered promptly and cheerfully. All information provided was accurate and helpful. We rented with Belvoir Skipton for just over two years, we were fantastic tenants and Belvoir were lovely to deal with during our tenancy. This changed when we terminated our tenancy, we were made to feel like because we had terminated we no longer mattered. When asked to be called back we weren't, constantly chasing them asking for answers. Be careful renting off of this company because general wear and tear after 2 years doesn't come into consideration. There were a few things that needed repairing which we advised them of when they happened and we were happy to get sorted before we left. They didn't care and just said they would sort when they did the final inspection. Now to be hit with a £420.00 bill at the end of our tenancy is disgusting! After living in the house for over two years they still advertised as newly renovated??? Not sure how that's newly renovated. Do better, be better Belvoir Lettings and for god sake have a heart in these hard times !!!!
Fantastic service from start to finish. As soon as we wanted to view some houses we rang up and they could sort it for the next day which was perfect. Once we found a house, we was kept informed every step on the way and all details was sent via email. Definitely recommend
