   My partner and I attended a toddler film showing with our little boy and it was a brilliant experience. Lovely cinema set in a historic Odeon building in central York. I really love the feel and vibe to Everyman cinemas and feel lucky to have the York one so close to my house. James on the bar was also very helpful and friendly. 5 star

   A big shout out for Tom for the support he gave us when we visited Everyman in York today. We are still adjusting to life in a wheelchair so were disappointed to find that there is no lift access to theatre one on the first floor. Tom patiently helped us negotiate the stairs and ensured that we were safely seated. His kindness and generosity contributed significantly to an enjoyable day out. That said, surely there should at least be a stair lift installed. Planning regulations were given as the reason for inadequate access provision but surely the Local Authority could be supporting the building owners to find a solution which respects the historic building whilst upholding York’s commitment to inclusivity.

   Outstanding experience. Lovely seats and decor, wonderful staff and a great overall experience. Have been here on holiday with my kids and also on my own travelling for work as an end of work day treat while away from home and completely worth it! If you don’t use it you loose it, so please pop in if you appreciate that old fashioned cinema experience. Also very happy with the food and drinks offerings. Excellent all round big thanks to the team:)

   We got the train from Newcastle to York to go to this cinema for the whole experience of being able to order food from your seat, only to be told hot food could not be served due to kitchen problems. I really think the people who pre booked should have been told, as this was part of the whole experience. We were very disappointed we could have paid a lot less and gone to a normal cinema. I think there should have been some kind of refund... They said they'd had problems all morning, so we really should have been told.

   Although we had a voucher, 2x tickets came to £37 before purchasing food and drink. The screen itself felt barely bigger than a TV. Had a nice time but was reminded why this particular chain often feels like a ripoff unless you end up in the largest screen.

   Good experience and comfortable seating. Screen 1, row E there is a safety bar that is in the way. Avoid this row. Staff were very helpful. But management need cleaners to clean the sofas after a viewing. Ours had food and sauce on it. Otherwise was very enjoyable.

   Beautifully designed Art Deco old school movie 'theatre', with neon signage, very classy and unique, which is further emphasised by the independent restaurant and features like outside seating. Definitely worth the increasingly rare chance to actually experience cinema.

   This cinema is incredible. The comfort was state of the art. I had a rather large group of sophisticated gentleman watching minions: the rise of gru. The atmosphere was electric with chanting and singing throughout. The staff were sound and professional. the view from the top was breath taking. Gru/10

   Absolutely beautiful and intriguing place.. Lovely bar with food and drink, and this can all be taken or delivered to you SOFA with side table.. The venue is very art deco and modern mix, staff lovely and screen and sound fab. I meant to a photo of the stairs but forgot. Tut. I want to go here on train for 2hrs for every movie from now on.
