   We always stay at the Ibis in Barnsley when we visit, every single time we have visited, our stay has been lovely. The staff are always incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the amenities are fantastic. We won't even consider booking anywhere else now when we come to visit our family.

   Great value for money, good size rooms, good breakfast (very, very good breakfast for the price). I've stayed here a couple of time for 2 nights each time, I prefer Barnsley Ibis to Sheffield city centre Ibis, I've stayed there 8 nights over 2 different weeks but both have been fantastic value and both worked well for me.

   The hotel it self was lovely, clean and ideal for the night stay. The breakfast in morning was not worth the money they had ran out of orange juice and I am allergic to apple juice, all the condiments I.e jam, yogurt ect where in shared pots so could be cross contaminated very easily. Bacon and hash browns had ran out. Warm food seemed to have been there for a long time and we wasn’t down for breakfast late. Bread was stale and open to the elements I also burnt my hand on the toaster.

   This hotel is extremely easy to navigate to being adjacent to the M1 motorway. The ladies on reception are absolutely wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, especially when my wife was unwell, they did everything to help. The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are large and clean. Beds are huge and comfortable. WiFi is strong and fast throughout the whole hotel. There's not much more to say except thank you for a lovely short stay.

   Was very impressed with everything and so organised with our coach party on arrival. Very clean and presented room. Food was amazing, especially huge choice for breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Only stayed one night but cant fault the hotel, was great!

   Hotel itself ok I wasn’t offered breakfast at the time of booking so just assumed it was included but it’s not Shower nice and warm but no heating in the room so when I asked at reception I was just told to turn the radiator up but quite conveniently there was no markings on the radiator thermostat (you have to be a plumber to get heat) £3.75 for a pint of beer in the pub next to the hotel and £4.60 in the hotel Whoever said it was cheap beer gave a fake review and I’ve reported it There are better chains of hotels than this I can’t recommend !!!! it’s like Ryan air for hotels !!!

   I wouldn’t say its dog friendly. The dog is ONLY allowed in the room. There isn’t even a lobby or a lounge where u could sit with your dog. Some of the staff are extremely helpful and would go out of their way to help you. Nevertheless I was stuck in the room most of the time as my dog wasn’t allowed anywhere else.

   The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, I forgot to mention it to the reception lady. The room was a twin and there was plenty of room, decent TV but the pillows were a bit empty. Ibis is basic but to me you get what you pay for. Right there off the motorway so excellent accssability.

   Brilliant service the staff are a credit to Ibis hotels they have all been perfect! Rooms are very nice and modern, love the walk in shower! I stayed 2 night last week and 3 nights this week with work. My only issue is the location of the hotel, yeah it is convenient been just off the M1, there is a train track that runs very close to the back of the hotel and runs all night and I like to sleep with my window open. The first 2 nights I stayed I was in a back room on the top floor, I heard the train a few times but it didn't bother me to much. The 3 night the next week I was in a 1st floor room and the train sounds much louder and woke me up a good few times unfortunately. If you go I would ask for a room on the front of the hotel or keep your window shut
