Lots to see and do at Hassop Station Cafe. Right on thw Monsal trail, this ex train station building has been transformed into a hub for those undertaking outdoor bound activities in the nearby area. Easy access, traffic free access onto the picturesque monsal trail coupled with various bike hire options aids with this. Hassop cafe is also a solid food and drink choice in itself. There is a good eange of savoury and sweet options across the site including pizzas outside in summer. I have had various of these on numerous visits and can attest for their quality across the board. There is a large shop attached to the cafe selling a range of items produced in the local area. Service I have received here has always been friendly and helpful.

Hired bikes for the Day. Great fun! Nice flat track, tunnels and bridges along the way with splendid scenery. Around 15 miles there and back. What a hoot!

Great service, good quality & well maintained bikes at a reasonable price. The trail itself is a nice and easy gravel ride with lots of interesting sights. The restaurant is a step above what we would have expected.

Fantastic place to start your Monsal Trail adventure! Hassop Station is the perfect starting point for a day out on the Monsal Trail — whether you’re cycling, walking, or running! There’s a paid car park (£6 for the whole day), easy bike hire, and a lovely café with delicious pizza, great drinks, and outdoor seating. We started our route here with kids on bikes and others running, and it was just amazing — the trail offers stunning views, historic tunnels, and peaceful countryside all along the way. The Monsal Viaduct and the old railway tunnels make the whole experience really special. Highly recommend stopping here before heading out — it’s a great place to fuel up, relax, and enjoy the beginning of one of the most scenic routes in the Peak District!

Lovely cafe. Friendly staff, patient staff taking orders. Could be more efficient at cleaning tables but the place is very busy on a weekend. Turn out of food is super speedy. Kids pasta dish pleasant but a bit dry. Jackets are lovely and fluffy. Pork sandwich was beautiful. Lovely string tea also, forgot to ask what tea do you use?! Very tasty. Toilets clean. Nice gift shop. Overall nice experience and would return.

This is a popular spot for walkers and can sometimes be difficult to get parked, it's worth trying though. The gift shop is nice with a good variety of local gifts. The cafe is spacious and clean and the staff very friendly. Service is quick and efficient. The menu is varied from breakfast to lunch options. The food is good value and quality.

Something for everyone on the menu here! Delicious food, cakes to die for & excellent beverage options. Large seating areas indoor & out (covered). Friendly, speedy service. Next door is a large book shop & there is also cycle hire on site. Big car park, reasonable charges. Great start/end point for walking or cycling on the Monsal Trail.

We visited yesterday and we were seriously underwhelmed. I understand that it is bank holiday weekend but service was very slow and staff were very rude and clearly did not want to be there, they were incredibly snappy. The menu is very over priced for the basic offerings and portion sizes not very big. Also doesn’t really accommodate for all dietary requirements. We visited this place around 6 months ago and it appears it has swiftly gone downhill since then. A shame because it is in a nice location but there are other places nearby which are much better value and you will actually feel wanted as a customer.
