We had a fantastic weekend at Unsliven Bridge Farm with 15 family members ranging from 11-77. The building and grounds were pristine, and there was ample space for us to be comfortably together as well as having social spaces for small groups. We self catered and the kitchen had everything we needed to do this with ease, although I did bring a couple of extra sharp knives from home which was useful when getting lots of people to help with food preparation. The location suited all of our interests with different family members enjoying visiting Chatsworth, a local forge, the trampoline park in Barnsley, various walks of different lengths (with and without dogs) and more. Lisa, Nick and their team were easy to communicate with and I would happily use Yorkshire Premium Cottages again in the future. Thank you for a special celebration weekend!

We've just got back from a weekend away in the Unsliven Bridge Farm. It was fantastic! It was easy to find, the host was very lovely. The property was clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen. Great games room and hot tub. The property has a secure little garden if you are staying with children/dogs. All stairs have gates. There are a couple of toilets downstairs which is very convenient. Underfloor heating makes the house very warm and cosy. There are several walks to go on, so plenty to do. I would definitely recommend this holiday home! We had a great time!

All I can say is this is an amazing place to stay if you have a large group of people. The owners should be proud of this farm as we were to stay in it. Everything you could want and the meadow and walks for the dogs are brilliant.

A cheery welcome . We Loved the house. Lots of space for a 3 generation weekend break Comfortable beds and seating. Lovely hot showers and well equipped kitchen. Everyone enjoyed the playroom, hot tub and outside space. Fabulous Autumn walk around the reservoire. Our only negative: the house was cool 15 degrees on arrival and after turning heating up to a normal temperature it overshot then was difficult to cool the main living area and playroom down. Eventually we turned the heating off entirely. A small hiccup in an otherwise delightful venue

We went 4 years ago and initially the place looked fantastic. After half an hour I was ready to leave. I've never seen so many do and don't instructions in a holiday cottage. I was petrified my son would spill his drink on the superior white linen. It was like staying in a correctional facility. Never again.

We booked this place before lockdown. We all isolated for two weeks before arriving. They cleaned the place up beautifully it takes your breath away. The hot tub is really nice. The garden is lovely. There were a few niggles for me that are not worth mentioning but it is worth a strong 4 stars.

I recently stayed at Unsliven with my husband, and it was honestly one of the best cottages we've ever been to. It was immaculately clean, with everything organised so that finding what you need is easy. Everything was ready for us; the hot tub was even lit so we could get straight in. We were met by the owner after we had settled in, who showed us how to light it ourselves - this was very useful as it is log fired. Not only was the cottage beautifully presented, it was done so to a very high standard. The bed linen in particular was excellent quality. It felt like every little detail had been carefully considered to make our stay as pleasant as possible. There was every amenity we could need - including ample parking, a bathroom for each bedroom, a tv in each bedroom, and a games room. The cottage is dog friendly, but as people who don't have dogs we appreciated that this wasn't obvious - there was no dog hair or dog smell. The kitchen was an absolute dream with an abundance of facilities food prep, cooking, and storage - all so clean they looked brand new. We also found the signage around the cottage immensely helpful. Communication with the owner was good, with prompt and polite replies. We also received a pdf before our arrival that laid out clearly all information we would need. Although a bond is required we were reassured by the pdf that as long as we used common sense and respect there would be no need for charges. As it were, our bond was returned in full, on time. We were also refunded for hot tub logs that we didn't use, which was much appreciated. The local area is lovely, very picturesque with nice places to eat, friendly locals, and good real ale pubs. All in all, we were genuinely really pleased with every aspect of our stay at Unsliven, and would highly recommend.

Absolutely disgusted in how we were treated after what we thought had been a lovely stay. Got charged £20 for extra logs for hot tub that firstly we never asked for and secondly couldnt use the hot tub on the 2nd night as it smelt disgusting and the water was all murky, as it was never emptied and refilled following the 1st night despite being told it would be. Got charged £60 for supposed make up stains on pillows, we have requested photos to proove this but had nothing from them. They didn't even inform us they were deducting this or that there was even a problem for over 2 weeks. Ive stayed in many hotels and lodges and never heard anything so ridiculous. Would not reccomend and would never stay again. Its put a real downer on what had been a great weekend. You have been warned if you book to stay here.
