   Just did my manicure today at Kem's (hard gel with extensions) and what a pleasant surprise it was! I came in with half of my nails completely broken and, especially as a tourist, I was desperate to find a nice reliable place in town. Highly recommend this spot to get your nails done, they're super nice and professional. Plus, their variety of colours is insane :)

   I had a bad pedicure once but I decided to go back and have hard gel extensions. The new guy didn’t know how to do it so the owner took over in the middle of the process. The colour was nice but the nails look quite thick and end result was not worthy £50. Most importantly, I was there an hour and a half and I saw every other girl being offered a drink and getting a hand massage which I was not offered. I asked at the end for the massage but I was told to just put the hand cream on my own. I just noticed someone else mentioned the same in the reviews so it wasn’t just my impression. I would never go to a place I feel treated differently than the others and maybe they prefer other type of clients too.

3. The nove - ★★★☆☆

   It is a cute salon and very kind staff, however I thought it was sad that anytime I get my nails done I do not get offered any beverage. Whilst other customers with other ethnicities are offered a beverage upon arrival. I’ve also noticed pictures are taken of many other customer’s nails and put on their instagram profile however, certain (like mine) are missing even though they have a multicultural client base which is a shame as representation matters. Also not as transparent with their prices as you would expect. Paid different prices for similar treatments which is odd, when I questioned the owner about it their explanation didn’t really make sense. As I mentioned before, a very nice place, kind staff, clean equipment, and beautiful results.

   Had my nails done there on Saturday and I am very pleased with the result ! The lovely lady taking care of me was really nice and pleasant to have a chat with. She was also very focused on doing a good job. The only reason im not giving five stars is because the technician recommended another technique and failed to mention it would cost more than the original treatment i was planning on having. Edit to add that one of the nail fell within a couple of days. I went back and they redid it. Other nails fell within 2 weeks, clean off the finger. I was disappointed by the longevity of the service.
