Walked into Helen and Peter Nail Shop in East Ham on a whim as my usual nail place was busy, and I’m so glad I did. It was a walk-in appointment and they asked exactly what services I wanted — a mani and pedi with gel removal and French tips on my hands — and delivered perfectly. The staff were incredibly accommodating and so friendly, which made the whole experience really pleasant. Great service and great results. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this place.

After reading some of these reviews I have to say I completely disagree with them, the service was quick and clear. The lady made sure at all points I was satisfied with how my nails looked, she checked with me about the length, colour and shape and it made me feel like she truly cared about how I feel about my nails. My nails look so clean and polished, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The lady was sweet and paid lots of attention to detail, making sure the sides of my finger isn’t stuck by the top glue and stuff like that. I also think it was reasonably priced, so I don’t see how anyone thinks this place is so terrible??

This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had at a nail shop. The woman claiming to be the manager was beyond rude. She tried to charge me £60 just to remove my nails, then quoted £70 for a longer set—only to change it to £85 after gluing the nails onto me. When I questioned the random pricing, she told me to “stop being disrespectful” and to put my hand in the jar to remove my set, She even said I shouldn’t come back if I “can’t afford it.” meanwhile the other lady in the shop told her customer she will give her a discount because she’s her regular. i also experienced watching the way they would run other customers out of the shop by saying no appointments but when smaller crowds come in they allowed it. unfortunately i wish i could give a name but there all disrespectful and refused to give a name. No legitimate business should treat paying customers this way, let alone lie about their role. Her attitude was condescending and dismissive, and it’s clear she has no interest in providing proper customer service. Management needs to address this immediately because this type of behavior will ruin the shop’s reputation. I won’t be returning and will make sure others know to avoid this place. This kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable. Her attitude was condescending, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. No customer should be spoken to or treated this way, especially over pricing that seemed entirely fabricated, it’s a simple set, no diamonds or decorations just a long acrylic set. It’s clear she has no training in customer service and shouldn’t be working in a position of authority. I strongly urge management to look into this issue, as her behavior is not only damaging to the shop’s reputation but also completely out of line. I will not be returning, and I’ll be advising others to avoid this place. Until this employee is held accountable, it’s clear that this nail shop doesn’t value its customers. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with this employee. The last time I came here, I thought she was just having a stressful day. After I had already paid, she tried to charge me more at the end, then complained in her language about my nails being “too long,” not realizing I could understand her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt back then, but it’s clear now that this is how she regularly treats customers. Her behavior is completely unacceptable, and it’s shocking that someone this unprofessional is even allowed to interact with clients, let alone act as a manager. Management needs to take immediate action to address this, or they risk losing more loyal customers. I will not be returning and will be warning others to avoid this place until this employee is removed. I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at this nail shop. The woman who claims to be the “manager” damaged my nails during the process. Not only did she try to charge me an inflated price for basic services, but she also didn’t take any care in the application, leaving my nails uneven and severely weakened. I had to get them fixed elsewhere. When I tried to address the issue, she was rude and dismissive, claiming that I was being “disrespectful” and offering no solution to the problem. She clearly didn’t care about the quality of her work or the impact it had on me. It’s unacceptable to leave a customer with damaged nails and then treat them like they’re the problem. This was the last straw for me. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this shop if you want to protect your nails and your money.

I went in quite late on a Thursday, they still put me in the pedicure chair with first priority and I did not wait too long for my manicure. The technician said she will do a better job on my finger nails better next time!

Took appointment then had to wait half hour, didn’t even asked if I want to normal or shellac , asked 30 upfront. I wasn’t happy with my few nails and asked them to fix it. They said it’s okay okay and complete me ignored me . So rude, unprofessional and just not good at there job. Talk in their language and don’t even care what customer wants or feels. So I ended up with straw uneven nails for 30 pounds. Would not recommend or ever go back there. Good luck on o who ever uses them

One of the older girls did my nails and before I could choose which shape I wanted she started to do her own thing and when I told her I didn't want that shape she redid the filing and filled my nails so deeply it burned and made me pay more. When I removed the fake nails my natural nails under was red and so sore. I would not recommend going there.

Had my nails done for prom here. Very good quality and the staff take extra care on how you specifically want your nails done, mine were perfect. Definitely worth the money, had them on for three weeks until the nail started coming away from the cuticle, which is normal. I would 100% recommend this nail salon.
