Don't be fooled by the photos. I visited yesterday to do a shop whilst away in my caravan, and it is very poorly stocked - no teabags, the only biscuits were digestives, expensive baked beans and very little choice with large gaps on the shelves. Ended up going to Little Waitrose up the road.
A small village store on Station Road Delemere. Easy to miss as the shop is back off the road and the signs indicating the building are directly opposite the shop on the other side of a busy road.The first time I passed it I thought it was boarderd up as it has a wooden cladding with words on that is really lovely when you get close. The shop has everything you need if living locally or visiting the forest or staying at the campsite. The usual basics, milk, bread, tins jars and a good range of WINES AND BEERS, (not a bad price). Dont forget HOT COFFEE! In addition the shop offers fresh hot pies pasties sausage rolls, great cakes and fruit pies. Fresh fruit and veg, newspapers, even lottery tickets. A good little shop carries much of what you need at the usual price for villiage shops and there is no other for miles!
Be careful when purchasing here. Found maggots in the hot sandwiches. No apology either.
I came into the store today to purchase pies for my elderly Nan. I was Left waiting at the counter for sometime, so I walked to where the gentleman who was working there and kindly asked if I could have some service. This is when the gentleman (Joe) made feel very uncomfortable he then told me he didn't have what I wanted he told me what he did have so I said I'll just pop out and ask my Nan if she wants what he had left. This when he slammed the utensils down in a very aggressive manor. This is not the first time I've been treated like this by the gentleman. I would suggest he has some customers service training.
Always been a great little shop, lovely selection of Cowards pies, sandwiches cakes and snacks for our days out. Costa express machine.

Staff are helpful and kind. There are many paths/trails you can walk your dog, bring a friend or family member or just walk alone! There are beautiful views to admire and benches to stop at along the path. I would recommend and visit again.
It's in my top 3 pie shops I've ever been too.. the lamb and mint filled sandwiches are the best on the planet.. you can park out side and there's a roundabout about half mile up to spin round to get back on main road..
