   I used to go to Mirage nightclub before it became Nubu (far worse name in my opinion!) many a time I had being fairly drunk and occasionally on the dance floor, I remember I got 2 ladies phone numbers in here in late 2002 I think! we chatted etc and exchanged phone numbers! so THOSE 2 Saturday's were a GREAT night out! Haven't been to Nubu though since the name change. Recommended for a good night out.

   Never been in myself, but while waiting for my daughter and her friend to come out of the under 16s night on 6/4/23, I noticed the doormen walking young girls to there parents cars making sure they got there safely. One doorman asked my daughter and her friend if they needed escorting to my car, but my daughter being Ms independent, she said no. So basically thanks to the doormen for looking after everyone.

   It's the only nightclub in the town of Kidderminster, it used to be called Mirage about 10-15 years ago before it closed due to aggressive tactics of the competition (Tribe) forced it out of business. I believe it's still owned by the same guy, who also owns "The Secret Garden" and "Nu Bar". It's a generic small-town nightclub catering to the lowest common denominator (otherwise how else do you make money?), so you'll have young kids first going out at 18 and local stag and hen does come through the door. You'll have people who are very rough, and you'll have people who just want to make the most of the situation. It's a mixed bag. There used to be a lot more variety in Kidderminster 15-20 years ago, but if people are not willing to patronise those establishments you end up with NuBu.

   Came out for my 19th birthday with friends and family. Gave the girl on reception £10 and got a £5 back, I then realised I wanted to pay for mine and my sisters coats (both of which could fit on one hanger) so gave the girl my £5 and got £4 back which is all good. Then my sister comes in and pays £10 and doesn’t recieve any change because apparently she isn’t owed anything??? Me and my sister both question it as she’s owed £5 change (obviously) both girls continue to ignore us and laugh straight in our faces, knowing they were ripping us off. Security guards then come in and tell us to go upstairs otherwise we’ll get kicked out, we refuse as we are still owed £5, so then they drag my sister outside, and tell her she’s not allowed back in because we aren’t ‘respecting the rules. Absolutely shocking staff at the club now, rude and taking pure advantage of drunk people. Won’t be returning anytime soon, and when I do I’ll be expecting that £5 change we’re owed.

   Door men here are disgusting, was in the smoking area and watched one of the doormen spit right in a lads face, when the lad spat back the doorman hit him full on. Hope the lad who filmed it takes it to the management. Animalistic behaviour from a grown man who is supposed to diffuse trouble not cause it. I have worked and still work in bars and have never seen such arrogant troublesome door men.
