I work as a delivery driver with Stuart for Tesco deliveries. Tesco express, I have experienced ongoing issues where orders are not being allocated fairly. On multiple occasions, I was present and ready to work, yet orders were given to other drivers while I was ignored. I believe this behaviour is coming from the site management, specifically a manager named “Cristian” & “ karan” , and it has affected my ability to work and earn. I always follow the rules and arrive on time, so this situation is very disappointing. I hope Tesco/Stuart management reviews this matter and ensures a fair and transparent order allocation process for all drivers.

I came to your store to buy some alcohol. While I was there, I ran into an acquaintance — we chatted for a couple of minutes, walked around a bit, then said goodbye, and he left. When I got to the checkout to pay, the cashier asked for my ID — no problem, I showed it. But then it got weird: the cashier said they also needed my friend’s ID. What friend? The one I just happened to bump into in the store? He wasn’t with me, wasn’t at the till, and wasn’t buying anything. Since when is it forbidden to meet someone in a store without losing the right to buy a beer? Maybe next time I should bring all my documents and my medical records just to get two bottles? And by the way for a store that has an entire section full of deodorants, it’s strange that some of staff doesn’t seem to use them

Store ok but personel is slow and not helpful. I made two visits there in 10 days and the expierance was the same. Self-service checkouts are OK as longer everything is working smoothly but during my visits each time I had to move my groceries in a shopping basket from one checkout to another (couldn't move forward using 4 of them one by one). Assistance was nowhere to be find. There were other customers just like me trying to get assistance.... and there was no help. My friend who was also trying to pay for her groceries at the self checkout, got frustrated, lost her patience, left her groceries behind and left the store. I continued and wait for an assistance since I needed some groceries items for my cooking that day, but I was also frustrated. I asked twice the lady behind the glass to send someone to help us. She said someone is coming and we waited ....and waited. Tesco, you need one person to be at the self-checkouts all the time!

Extremely upsetting experience at Tesco Richmond today. I entered the store with my fully trained assistance dog, clearly wearing her identification badge. Within a few minutes, three different staff members approached me, with one shouting at me from across the store and demanding I leave, despite seeing the ID. I was humiliated and harassed in front of other shoppers. Even after confirming her status multiple times, I was treated with suspicion and aggression. Another customer even stepped in to say the staff were being rude. This store clearly lacks training on disability rights and assistance dogs. Absolutely unacceptable and discriminatory. Better shop elsewhere.

Work just round the corner from the Richmond express site. Went in last night (23/01/23) at around 9pm to get a few items for work. Apon arriving at the store realised I hadn't collected a basket on the way in, so had made by way out to collect one (with no products in my hand). Was asked by the security staff member to remove my hand from my pocket so he could see if I had taken anything. Now as this point I had been in the store less than a minute and hadn't even made it past the sandwich section (in view of the member of security staff the whole time) Which is just by the front door. My response to the member of security staff was that I am just picking up and basket and want to the know the basis on why he had stopped me, at which point he continued to look inside my coat pocket and realising his mistake said sorry and said I can continue to do my shopping. At this point I'm embarrassed and upset at how the security member of staff had dealt with the situation and had asked to speak to a manager and his response was that there wasn't anyone in who could deal with my complaint. Which was clearly a lie, just didn't want to have a complaint made against him. So had to go round the store asking other members of staff if there was a manager or a team leader on site that I could speak to. Once I was finally able to speak to a team leader had explained the situation and he didn't really seem interested in dealing with the complaint just said that I will talk to him and if you would like to make a complaint can give you a feedback card. Now i've worked as a Deputy manager before in a Tesco Express site and know that how both the security staff member and team leader delt or lack of dealing with this situation was wrong. Looking into the reviews for this express it also seems like this is a common problem for the Tesco Express in Richmond, as its not hard to find reviews where customers have had similar experiences of being stopped or made to feel uncomfortable based on their appearance.

It is a horrible store. The staff discriminate against you based on appearence. The security will target you, if you are not dressed well, and ethnic in appearence.

Why take away ALL the cash self service machines? Also you are not obeying Natasha’s law. The almond pastries were above and next too other pastries. Risking a huge cross contamination !!! The almonds are flaky and fall off very easily. Nuts being one of the 14 highest allergens. I also got chased down the road being accused of stealing a sandwich!! So embarrassing. Marching me back to store when I’d done nothing wrong.

The store has some bad reviews for customer service but there is one lady (Venetia) who is very sweet and stands out doing an outstanding job. The times that she has been on the self-checkout machines they are always moving forwards efficiently and she makes it clear that she cares about every customer.
