This place is an absolute treasure. The only UK branch of the famous American-Korean supermarket chain landed in Europe’s biggest Korean community for very good reason, and it’s a total game-changer.Massive store packed floor-to-ceiling with Korean groceries: fresh kimchi, banchan, gochujang in every grade, snacks you’ve only seen on K-dramas, huge frozen dumpling selection, Korean instant noodles by the dozen, fresh produce (perilla leaves, crown daisies, Korean pears, etc.) Solid representation from Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines – basically one-stop Asian shopping Beyond food: kitchenware (stone bowls, induction rice cookers), K-beauty, K-pop albums, magazines, even small electricals It’s deliberately crammed (very Korean-supermarket energy), which can feel overwhelming at first, but the staff are incredibly helpful and will walk you straight to whatever obscure ingredient you’re hunting.Queues move fast (no self-checkouts, but plenty of staffed tills), the car park is free (gets busy on weekends), and the special-offer tables are dangerous – perfect for impulse buys and trying new things cheaply. Whether you’re Korean, Asian, or just food-curious, this is a must-visit destination. It genuinely feels like you’ve stepped into a big Seoul or Busan mart. Even if you live an hour away, make the pilgrimage at least once – you’ll leave with a full trolley and a very happy stomach. Worth every minute of the journey. Absolute gem!

So many of my favourite things here, cool snacks and asian oriental drinks. Now I don't need to fly all the way to Asia to enjoy them, definitely coming back here. Wish there was one closer to East London :(

Very fresh fruit & veg, nice seafood selection, good for those trying authentic Korean food products but also an impressive dedicated aisle of Filipino food products.

I recently visited H Mart in New Malden, and I can see why it has such a strong reputation among people looking for authentic Korean and other Asian groceries. The store is large and packed with a wide variety of products that you simply won’t find in regular supermarkets. Selection and Quality The range of items available is impressive. They have everything from fresh produce, seafood, and meat to pantry staples like sauces, noodles, and snacks. The seafood section stood out with live crabs and lobsters, which shows their commitment to freshness. The tofu selection alone was more extensive than I’ve seen at many other places. They also stock Korean ready meals, fresh kimchi, and a large variety of Korean sweets and snacks. Prices While the prices are generally higher than you’d pay at typical UK supermarkets, that is to be expected given that many products are imported. I found the pricing reasonable for what you get, though some items are marked down occasionally, which is great if you know what to look for. It’s worth noting that some customers feel that compared to smaller local Korean stores or Chinatown markets, prices here can be a bit on the higher side. Store Environment and Service The store is clean and well-organized, although it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends. When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, the aisles were busy and sometimes difficult to navigate. If you’re visiting with children or pushing a trolley, it might feel a bit cramped. However, the staff were friendly and approachable. Several times I was offered help finding products, which was very useful since it was my first visit. Overall Impression H Mart New Malden is a fantastic place if you want to explore authentic Korean cuisine and Asian ingredients. It is clearly more than just a supermarket; it’s almost like a small cultural experience, offering everything from fresh groceries to kitchen tools and Korean snacks. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, which makes shopping here enjoyable. If you are new to Korean cooking or just want to discover some new foods, H Mart is definitely worth a visit. Just try to avoid peak hours for a more comfortable experience, and always check expiry dates carefully.

H Mart is a US-based grocery store, which sells mainly Korean products. It's not surprising that the company has its only UK branch in New Malden, given that there is a large Korean population who live nearby. The shop is really big, with lots of Korean food products, including fresh and frozen. There are also products from many other Asian countries, such as China, Japan and Indonesia. In addition to food, there are lots of other items on sale, including K-pop CDs and magazines, electrical items, homeware and kitchenware. The shop is absolutely packed full of products, which can sometimes make it a bit hard to find what you're looking for, but staff are always happy to help. I can easily spend many hours browsing in here. There are also great special offers throughout the shop, which is a great way to try something you eaten before. There is a large car park, which is free for customers, although it does get very busy at times. The shop does not have any self-service tills, but there are usually quite a lot of staffed tills open, so the service is pretty fast. If you're looking for Asian products, particularly Korean, you will almost certainly find it here. It's a fantastic shop and a really fun place to buy interesting products, many of which you would struggle to find outside of Korea. The shop feels like a really authentic place, as though you're really in Korea! Wherever you live, it's worth visiting, to experience the excellent atmosphere!

I used to go to H Mart often when I was in Canada, and I love that there is H Mart here in London too. Not only are they well stocked with a variety of daily necessities from Korea, but you can easily get food ingredients from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong!

Huge hypermart for not only Korean food, but also Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and even Thai food with almost most reasonable price in London. Household products imported from Korea is also cheap, which rarely found in other local household store. We always get more than what we expected everytime!

A place where you can experience and purchase a variety of Korean products, such as various Korean foods, household items, and electronic devices. A place that captures the hearts of locals with K-Drama craze and posters of K-pop stars. A place where you can easily buy simple Korean food such as fresh kimbap~ A place where you can receive products purchased through online shopping through delivery service Be sure to visit! I am not responsible for overflowing market baskets. I bought vermicelli to make japchae(Korean cuisine).

Massive supermarket with a wide selection of different Asian ingredients, fresh fruit and vegetables and snacks etc. I went here on a whim because I fancied Soju and ended up running down each aisle stunned by all the variety they had. Quite expensive compared to other Asian supermarkets I have been to, however the location and sheer size of the supermarket outweighs that.
