Free carpark, lovely woodland circular walks. Cup & Saucer waterfall very interesting. Didn't have time to go into the hall. Only downside is that you can't reach the tearoom & toilets unless you pat Β£11 to access all areas. Fortunately I am a member so I collected takeaway coffees & cakes to share with my family.

We visited yesterday for breakfast with Santa with a gentleman with a learning disability, the staff were fantastic and so helpful especially as he is still a believer and wanted to have breakfast with Santa . Everyone was so friendly and kind from the first phone enquiry and he was over the moon to meet Santa and his wife . Your help and kindness made our visit so enjoyable and this is why we travel from Shrewsbury to Erddig .The Christmas decorations in the house were absolutely stunning. Well done everyone there and thank you x

Another lovely National Trust property. We visited on a saturday morning, car park was very busy, but this was due to an event in the grounds. the house id fascinating, with very helpful staff to explain all the details. The gardens are beautiful, even in the Autumn. The usual national trust facilities such a great little cafe and second hand book shop. Well worth a visit.

Went along for parkrun and itβs one of the most scenic courses Iβve ever done. The course spans across the whole grounds, including stunning views from the side of the hill in front of the house, and the lake. They had a brilliant display of all their varieties of apples too and Iβve never seen so many types of apples! The gift shop is fantastic too, carrying National Trust branded accessories and even Erddig specific souvenirs. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Beautiful house and gardens. Very welcoming staff. So lovely to see the history of the staff in service displayed. My favourite area of the house seeing the servants dining hall and butlers pantry. A very informative lady explained the whole area with such animation it brought it to life for me. We enjoyed sitting out in the beautiful gardens.

Erdigg was left to the National trust in 1973 by Philip Yorke the last owner who never had an heir his family had lived there for centuries, nothing is allowed to leave Erdigg & nothing can be brought in, it's just how it was when the Yorke family lived there . The garden is grade 1 listed, only the area were the servants worked & lived was open in November, wonderful collection of old cars/motorcycles/carriages in the out buildings .take a walk to the cup & saucer through the woods past the motte & bailey castle. Beautiful house/gardens/ collection. I will definitely be back Easter to see the rest of the house. Highly recommended, one of the best National trust properties I have visited. Tea rooms/ shop/ 2nd hand books . In the servants area photos/ portraits of past servants who worked at Erdigg.

One of the best trust properties I have visited. The house is spectacular and is so original. When you look at pictures from over 100 years ago the rooms have barely changed. Woodland walks are beautiful and lots of different options for those wanting a gentle stroll are a longer ramble. Gardens are beautiful and well kept. Highly recommend and last of all the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable.

Visited in August 2019, on the first day of my Wales holiday. Lovely National Trust house with the usual style, nice collection of arts, and the estate is very pretty. I had a lovely weather to enjoy and especially liked to walk around the garden and ground. It can be a good day out for everyone. Usual facilities are available, such as tea-room, shop, toilets, cafe.

Had a fabulous welcome from an assistant named Oliver on arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed walking our dog through the woods - currently thronged with wild garlic and bluebells, followed by a peaceful stroll along the stream through the French Meadow. The formal gardens are spectacular with vibrant tulips, and there is blossom aplenty on the fruit trees. Beautiful!
