Well equipped, clean and tidy gym and still newish. No peeling paint. Good vibes with parents and young kids enjoying the facilities- gym, swimming pool, and outside athletics track.Nice.
I recently joined Abbey Stadium and I’m really happy with it! The whole process of booking classes, gym sessions or even badminton courts is really easy through their system. The staff are helpful, and there’s a good choice of activities. I’ve also started swimming here and you can go according to the pool timetable, which makes it very convenient. The gym is modern and clean, with plenty of equipment, and there are lots of classes to choose from, including some boxing-style workouts, Yoga, Cycling, Health and fitness and Games etc. Overall, a great place to stay active in Redditch!
Been using the gym for a year now and with the help of Mark I have lost 48lb and am now a lot fitter and building muscle. Even when not having a one to one session, nothing is too much trouble and he will always take the time to offer advice and tips to better my exercise routine. I do think there needs to be lighter weight barbells from 2.5kg to 10kg, I see junior members struggling with the weights and as a parent myself we should do all we can to encourage and support gym use
Swimming lessons with 10 children per instructor is definitely too much for a 30-minute class — the kids aren’t learning proper technique at all. Items are left in the changing rooms, which no one uses or supervises. Parents walk onto the pool area in dirty shoes.
It is a really good leisure centre. I have been going there for years now. The gym is really nice after the redo and staff are friendly
As the town's main sports facility, the Abbey Stadium really is excellent. Free parking with car charging available, and convenient opening hours. It's great value and boasts a learner pool and main pool, track, gym, weights room, yoga studio, badminton and sports halls, and many other facilities. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the classes available are brilliant too, loads to choose from. The only reason I've not gone the whole 5 stars is that the toilets and changing rooms are in a bit of a state. They could do with a regular cleaner throughout the day, and also refurbishment of these facilities. It's also hard to get through on the phone with typical waiting time around 10-20 minutes before anyone picks up. I know that it's busy and the staff can only do one thing at a time, so not a major gripe. I love the place and would recommend it to anyone!
The place was kept clean and tidy Keira was so friendly and helped me out when going in for first time I felt very comfortable talking to her
Is s big arse sports place. We were using half of one of the sports halls. There was trampolining in the other half. There was a work out class going on in another hall and the music travelled in to our hall. I couldn't really hear my instructor for most of the time the music was playing. It was also very cold in the sports hall as we weren't in constant motion. I warned up in the lobby at lunchtime
We go every week to swim with our daughter. The staff remember us and we are greeted so friendly. My daughter loves swiming there. The pools warm and enough space. Friendly staff and nothings too much trouble.
This place is clean, tidy and never too busy. The swimming changing rooms feel stuffy though and way too warm. They could do with being kept warm but with fresh air. The gym has a variety of machines and the instructors are good. Prices are good too. Parking is ample and it's close to town.
