Working hours are wrong. Sunday is listed to be opened until 11pm, however when got there at 7pm the shop was closed. Not happy about this. Months later working hours have still not been amended
Absolutely shocked at the behaviour of a store assistant named Rahul today - 16/09/2025 around 2pm. I was simply trying to buy a meal deal which clearly included a small ginger drink. Instead of helping, he immediately accused me of being “rude” just for explaining my point. This is outrageous — a customer asking a question is not being rude! To make things worse, he quickly ripped the price tag away and insisted it wasn’t part of the meal deal, as if trying to shut me down. Completely unprofessional, dismissive and disrespectful behaviour. Shocking way to treat paying customers.
Horrible place! Staff rude and looked at me like your scum when walking into the shop. The security guard followed me in the shop, probably thinking I want to steal something, really made me feel uncomfortable!! The place smells like stinky breaths! Don't know why people actually shops there tbh! Rather go Tesco a few minutes down the road. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
I recently had an awful experience at the Old Street City Road Sainsbury’s. I purchased a £50 voucher, and while the transaction went through and the money was debited from my account, the voucher was not issued. When I tried to get help, both the store manager and assistant were dismissive and unhelpful. They told me to call the voucher provider, but my card showed a zero balance, meaning the money went to Sainsbury's. I tried explaining this multiple times but they refused to assist further or issue a refund. This level of service is unacceptable. It feels like my concerns were ignored, and I’m now out £50 due to their error. I expect better from such a large company. I’m still waiting for this to be resolved and would not recommend this store until customer service is improved and accountability is taken for issues like this.

A guy named Rahul '' Assistant manager'' whatever he seems to be however he has the worst customer service he is rude and aggressive! I've been going to this Sainsbury for a year now. All of the rest of the staff is good to me a every time I come in, but this one pacific man named Rahul is not a good fit for this role he has at Sainsbury always comes with problems always. He thinks he invincible. If you want to have a good experience here, Avoid this man at all costs!!!!
OK but don’t particularly appreciate having to talk my way in 5 minutes prior to closing time. Update in 2022: Very smoothly run and reliable now.
This branch is so so for a local Sainsbury's. Seems like most lunch time meals were in limited stock even when I was there just before lunch time. Store was a bit small and narrow. Seems a bit messy compared to other local Sainsbury's I've been too. Staff were ok
